When my buddy Will posted that he was going to be in the show I was flipping out and picked him right away before watching this video!!! Will is the real deal and hands down gonna win!!! It may get tough at times but he can do it all. Trapping is the huge thing. Plus if he is snaring grouse out of trees and catching fish!!!! Watch out. All he will need is a good shelter and hopefully nothing goes wrong. Will could live year around in the Bush and not have to go to the store. Sure a little seasoning or fresh veggies are great at times but when it comes to the $$$$ he got this!!!!
@@alantenta9825 I,m from Northern Finland (above Arctic Circle) and when I heard that William J. Larkham was one of the Alone season 11 it was clear to me: The Winner is... Hmm?? I wonder who. He is The Outdoors Man! 😎👍🇨🇦🇫🇮💪
Wow! Congrats on your prediction prediction! William embodied such mental strength. He was solid, steady and wow could he every catch partridge with that stick snare! He really exemplified his mantra - 'when the going gets tough the tough get going'. Alan, you were such a solid, resourceful member of season 10 congratulations on your win!
Looking forward to season 11. William L. Jr is from near my hometown of St. Lewis Labrador. No doubt who I'm gonna be rooting for!! Best of luck young fella!!!
Agree with the pick. Although I wish everyone well, knowing the cold and the extreme pressures it can present, gives Will an advantage. I always look at how they attack the first few days as an indicator of longevity. I also like Jake and Michela. Let it begin once again!
I have to pick the falconer from Idaho just an idaho guy myself but am lookin forward to seeing Jordan's axe in use and will be rooting for her as well. Hope all had a great time in the artic
I’ve been watching Williams RU-vid channel for a long time and I think he’s tuff enough to win just the fact that he works on a fishing boat tells you how tuff he is.
William is a friend of mine. I know enough about him that I think he is going to win this hands down. It may be tough at times but he is the man, the myth the legend!!
Love Michela's Overstrike Guard on her axe ;) Shout out from Old Country Leather neat to see the overstrike and our sheath on Alone, paired with the Jordan Jonas' Axe! Nice Video Alan
I'm excited for the new season; I've watched Alone since it first started. Considering the locale, I'm thinking William from Labrador will have a little bit of a home court advantage but All of the contestants seem pretty capable.
Taking a shovel over an axe and especially over a ferro rod seems kinda crazy to me, but I'm looking forward to seeing how well the sharpened shovel will work. Jake has gotta have some great trick to starting a fire or keeping one going tho and that weirdly makes him my fave.
Thanks for the preview. Must agree with your selection, given the limited information on the candidates. Going on what we have been given, my number 2 choice would be Michela. Looking forward to the new season.
I love Alone. It is my favorite show. I hope that my message will get to the "powers that be" on Alone. This is the 12th season of Alone. Since the show began, a lot has happened in the world. This is a different world than it was when we watched season one. One major thing that has happemed is that our money is not worth what it was back then, due largely to the global pandemic. Put simply, $500,000. isn't what it was back during season one. Alone has proven to be a hit show for the History Channel, bringing in alot of revenue for the network. Alone is a grueling, punishing, dangerous competition. It is high time that the winner got a raise. The champion should get a million dollars. Compared to the participants on Alone, the contestants on Survivor are a bunch of sissies, and the winner of that competition gets a million dollars. Quit being cheapskates, History Channel, and do the right thing.
I also like William. One of the contestants has a RU-vid channel now, from past experience the winners tend to start a channel if they didn't have one so I'm not ruling him out.
I want Timber to win. But he is from Southern Indiana. They get very little snow and no low temps below 32 degrees. I live in northern Indiana we hardly see any below 0 temps. Still I think he will do Good.
I usually make my pick for the winner about 3-4 episodes into the season . . . I've been right 6 out of 10. But I'm predicting early this time . . . William has it!
Can you make a video on how you heated the rocks for your sleeping bag? Just curious how long you knew to heat them for, how you transferred them, where you put them, etc.
Nothing too complex; it was more trial and error. I would place the 3 rocks on the edge of the fire and turn them occasionally. I would handle them with my leather work gloves and see how hot they were with a quick touch. If they were too hot, I would let them sit until they were just hot enough so they wouldn’t burn me. I always had plenty of layers on in my sleeping bag, so if they were a little too hot, my skin was protected. I would put one at my feet, one on my quads, and one on my chest. They would keep me warm for about 3 hours.
Alan, can only residents of the USA and Canada participate in the show? Is there any chance of Brazilians living in Brazil and being one of the participants?
If this was a movie, falcon guy would domesticate a hunting feathered fellow for him. Or have his favorite falcon reach him from home to location by night 😮
Can you provide me without the information to apply , I'm fish and wildlife graduate at age of 42 years old, grew up outdoors, hunt and fish, first Nations Ojibwe man, from garden river Ontario
Can have all the skills in the world but accidents can happen easily to change it all. Cubby should have know better than traipse around in a thicket with a bow and arrows. Too many things can happen and one of them did.
Really?? You know nothing about them. You don’t know what trials or problems will come their way. Why don’t you sit back and relax and just watch the show? You just might be surprised.
Great News and can't wait to watch it. Also, will enjoy your read on the recaps. Going to be a fun couple of months. FYI; I made your lure with a small modification and will be posting it after I test it. Thanks for that video. I'm going with the WV gentleman Isaiah. We hillbillies stick together, LOL.
Hey Alan, thanks for this run down on the new season 11 contestants. I loved watching your season and follow your videos. Question: did you watch the previous seasons of Alone and were you able to predict some of the winners.
