I really liked how Piers carried the interview entirely. No judgement, asking tough questions in a respected manner. I wish he could have conducted an interview this way when Candace was on the show a couple of weeks ago.

Totally random, but I worked at a book store when “50 Shades” was published. So many women bought those books, it was mind boggling. One woman even told me, “Read ‘50 Shades’ if you’re trying to understand what a woman really wants.”
In the beginning, he said, “I didn’t feel comfortable in my body.” Piers heard that as “I didn’t feel comfortable about my body.” Two very different things! People who haven’t experienced this just don’t get it.
Not every woman loved the "Fifty Shades of Grey' film/films & books. Many of us recognized from the get-go that it promoted & glamorized an exceedingly unhealthy relationship on the part of both the main characters as well as pretty much every other supporting character.

Several years ago I randomly bumped into Armie down a remote country lane where he was obviously staying during a filming assignment. He looked familiar, but I didn't immediately recognise him. He actually seemed like a nice sort of guy, had a friendly chit-chat, and gave me directions to where I was trying to get to. I can confirm that he didn't try to eat me.

That goes a lot further in shaping who we become, how we carry ourselves and communicate than a basic undergrad degree IMO. Much better interview with Armie by Piers than on Bill Maher's podcast. I know it's a different format, but Bill spent so much time talking about himself and didn't really probe Armie. Piers really probed him, also listened, and got answers.

Considering that (according to an article by CNN) his former wife was actually behind the smear campaign that burned his life to the ground, maybe he does deserve a medal for sticking it out that long. And despite her treachery, he remained humble, sensitive, and respectful of the fact that she's the mother of his children throughout the entire interview. He didn't trash her at all, which is pretty noble considering the fact that she deliberately attempted to annihilate him without a second thought.
I'm not an Armie Hammer fan at all, but he was transformed into a pariah by the media and the movie industry, based mostly on hearsay rather than evidence. I NEVER like when that happens. I believe him to a large extent, I think it was consensual relationship that went awry and his affair partner decided to leak what were risqué but harmless conversations to ruin him and it worked. He was a privileged, handsome and successful white man who probably had things go his way his whole life and couldn't have imagined his life going off the rails the way it did so never took any precautions. Piers did describe Hammer perfectly. He is a handsome man on the road to get recognition, now it all came crashing down. He does his job well. He asks questions, burning questions that we are all wanting to ask and know the answers and he lets Hammer answer them and he doesn't fall back or backtrack on his mistakes that he's done. He answers them directly. If the case got dropped and she wouldn't sign an affadavit then that should be telling in on itself. Armie looks like he's in a better place and just hope he can just try and live for his children.
I don’t know who this guy is but he did pretty well in this interview for the topic. I never know what to think about this type of situation because women can say anything and immediately be believed. I say that as a woman myself. Years ago my brother was accused of some things by an ex and she took him to court over it. Funny thing was she picked a weekend that she said things happened not realizing he was at a wedding with many friends and family and it was hundreds of miles away. He lost friends, his job, and his name was tarnished UNTIL he went to court and it came out she was making it all up. The judge scolded her for about 10 mins and she got to go on her merry way. I’ve looked at these situations differently since that happened to someone I know has spent his entire life protecting his sisters, mom, and friends from disrespectful men. Like this guy he was told to stay silent until he was in court but that meant people assumed he was guilty because he wasn’t defending himself.

There is one thing that came to my mind - his wife lived 7 years with a man, who, as he says, was not only addicted to drugs and alcohol but also consumed way too much of it. Yes, him or anybody having an affair is way more important than that. Not saying living with an addict is fun; we have to state the obvious these days. Spacey has beaten ever allegation in court and has fessed up, apologized and owned his behavior; and he’s been cancelled for like a decade, lost all his money, what more do people want? Armie Hammer was never charged, the women he messaged with said things that were just as dark as what he said and one of them was unwilling to sign a sworn statement and one of them stalked Armie Hammer and he’d never met her. There are two sides to every story, he admits he was leading a self destructive lifestyle but maintains that all interactions were consensual, others were fabricated and the dark messages went both ways. He was never charged. He lost his income and most of his money. Again, what do people want?
Either this guy is telling the truth, or he's a REALLY good actor. I was watching his body language the whole time and he only crossed his arms at the end when the interview was ending. His body language appeared very open and genuine.
I watched him on Bill Maher's Spotify podcast, he seemed honest. He did figet with his hair and move in his seat during the more uncomfortable questions, which seemed like a very natural response. I think the dude had pawrn and drug issues, but I don't think he intentionally crossed any boundaries. Lots of women retroactively withdraw consent once the relationship is over. I personally know someone who takes any opportunity to talk about her first time actually being gr4p3 even though her best friend at the time was privy to all details. She dated this person for 4+ years, she was in a relationship.

This guy has definitely not been flawless but I get the impression that the series that was made about him is not a fair representation of what happened.
this is true. consider that all the so called evidence are just through text. than theres the fact that these women are also known individuals who regularily mingle with wealthy married men. meaning these arent helpless angels.

I think he needed to go through that to become the person he now is. And he does and will get another chance. He is so eloquent and articulate and so so talented
If the "victim" only shows you what the other person is saying, you should automatically ask, what are they hiding? Just b/c guilt is felt after doing something consensual, doesn't mean, later on, victimhood can be claimed to feel better.
He hasn’t faced any charges because the police don’t even believe the alleged victims. Haha. They saw this as women who weren’t getting what they wanted so they wanted to ruin him. If they had found proof of such things he would have been charged and facing prison time like all the rest.
I believe it too! I know someone who’s into bdsm and she’s told me things like she likes being choked while having intercourse. So I’m sure some of these women did like what he was doing to them.
I didn’t know who this man was until this interview. I was a little uncomfortable watching. Very handsome, speaks very eloquently. I’m glad he’s clean and sober and I do hope he has a nice long road ahead of him to be there for his kids and watch them grow.
I always thought I was not keen on Piers Morgan but this is one of the best interviews I have ever seen. People make mistakes and sometimes situations are misunderstood... this man is so honest and letting the world see his true story. Huge respect to both. We need more interviewers that are like this. A great watch!

@@heather6668 If ALL THIS is something he was willing to talk about in public, imagine the things he did he wouldn't be willing to talk about. Use your brain. This is pure damage control on his part and I had my doubts, but after watching the documentary, I'm 100% sure he did all of those things he was accused of.
