Comedian Michelle Buteau tells Stephen the first joke she wrote as an aspiring stand-up, and encourages everyone to come out to Radio City Music Hall on June 6th when she will become the first woman to tape a comedy special on that legendary stage. Her new film “Babes” opens in theaters this Friday.

Something you should all know about Michelle Buteau: she was a rising star in stand-up when she became the first celebrity I was ever friends with on MySpace. She made the trek from the East Coast to San Diego to perform with a bunch of her fellow comedians/friends:. It was a great show & a fun time (I spent most of the time hanging out next to their drinks, keeping creeps away) & got to chill with them all after the show. Michelle is genuinely sweet, naturally funny, and just amazing! Support her in everything she's in, check out her stand-up live if possible & have a great time! Here's to you, Michelle! I hear Michelle Buteau a lot on the satellite radio comedy channels, and she is great. I can't wait to see her movie! My favorite jokes that she makes in her stand up are about how her husband, who is white, loves her "big brown titties." This is the first time I have seen what she looks like, and, yeah, who can blame him. She's beautiful, too!

If you’re the first woman ever, why not wish ALL women well on their journey? “Black…Brown…Queer…”It’s not as if you’re the first black woman to play that stage after a long line of white women did it first. No, you’re a trailblazer for ALL women. Wish and hope for them ALL. Watched that part three times to make sure I heard it right. Positive you’re not being mean-spirited.
