Really? 99%? I understand you're being hyperbolic, and I'm not minimising what this man is going through (Hopefully I will never be able to understand what he is going through). But a depressingly large number of people suffer losses like this on a daily basis around the world (the majority of which are the result of conflicts). We are very privileged that we live in a part of the world where stuff like this is very rare.

Every 23 minutes someone is killed or seriously injured in the U.K. by a lethal weapon; motor vehicles. This is a tragedy we all sadly accept. These three murders could have been committed with an unending list of means. It is best not to govern a nation of 70 million by prohibitive legislation from the criminal act of one person.

A weapon that size and getting in the home just blows my mind. This is unheard of. Machetes aren't legal but they're on our streets. Don't blame the weapon it's the abuser that should be banned. It's abhorrent what's happening in the UK now. We are in shock at this ghastly crime. Who is safe anymore. That poor family. 💔💔💔

​@@boringmonkey6958 only if he wants a netflix series. my comment was in reference to the fact that this story aired while the criminal was still on the loose, but instead of giving any information on whether the public were in danger it was all about a survivor that wasnt there. it just reveals quite a bias contrast to how they portrayed similar recent crimes that happened to a non famous people. last time a family got murdered with a crossbow (only a few weeks ago) the day 1 new story was all about the criminal... how bad crossbows are and highlighting the increase in local crimes .. leveraging the story from day 1 to inform people about illegal weapons etc... that family didnt get a news piece aimed at sympathy for the surviving family.. they didnt even mention the absent relatives atall.. and they certainly didnt interview their friends and do a full news piece about the survivors so that people knew what they were going through.... and those survivors were actually in the building at the time.... yet how many of their friends were asked to do an interview about how tragic it was?... what sympathy pieces did they get?... nothing. Their story ignored the surviving children and anyone who wasnt present during the attack and was made all about the criminal and used to reinforce messages about potential gangs and the spread of illegal weapons.. while this families story is being aired as a sympathy piece and revolves around someone who wasnt even in the building. Double standards much.
