As a Father to a little girl myself I definitely understand but I feel like this towards someone who does this to any child. I feel like I’d have the same reaction if I caught someone doing this to any kid or my own. I may be doing it with more hate if I caught doing to my kid but either way it’s gonna end the same.
This is what I wanted to say. If I was attempting to be super- understanding and see the incident in the most positive light, could it be a dad mucking around with his son? But then, even if that’s the case, the lack of reaction from the lad is disturbing as it suggests this is normal behaviour. Also, what message is this send to the son if this is “innocent.”
This has been happening forever. Nothing new. Statistics the same since keeping track. The change is within the good people, advocates, victims, and survivors speaking up. Some people run when they see me. I speak the truth and bring to light the darkness. It is a part of my being a survivor. And I don't care who can't talk about hard things. Toughen up buttercup because this is prevalent in our society. We just have to talk about it more. Bring it to light so that it can be recognized and handled.

Right. I check my local registry from time to time as (everyone should) and the longest I’ve ever seen someone serve was 30 for the rape of an adult. That was the only man who served that long and he moved here from a different state. Most people on there are local which means they committed the crimes here and my state keeps slapping them on the wrist so they only served 2-4 years for horrific things to children. I don’t understand. It’s infuriating and disgusting. I don’t know how tough every other state is but mine seems to not give a crap.

Teachers is a good place to start. I would wager that at this time more women teachers are being reported for sex crimes against students than men. Over a decade ago 48 hours did an episode called “Kristen’s Secret” about a girl who was groomed and sexually abused by a female teacher. 48 hours reported that the little available research they found pertaining to teachers having sex with child students indicated that a HUGE amount of teachers had been reported for inappropriate actions with students. They estimated it to be 10% of teachers. Right now there are close to 300,000 K12 teachers. That would be 30,000 sexual abusers. Based on available data 30% of these are women. That would be 9,000 women. NINE THOUSAND female teachers having sexual contact with children they’ve been trusted with. The whole “men commit the most violence” is a pathetic train of thought. It minimizes what women are doing. NINE THOUSAND children were sexually abused. Look at it that way. But knowing the existing bias that has shielded and protected women abusers, I believe the number in truth is MUCH higher. Abuse comes in many forms, many of which involve no apparent physical evidence, as the trauma and damage is psychological and emotional. This form of damage is extremely hard to measure and prove. It is this type of violence/abuse that women are by far the masters of. My personal experience in my 58 years- it’s been women who have done the most damage. It’s consistently been women who were the most vicious. This is what caused me to break through the bias- reality.
It ruins the children's life for ever , the damage it does , and sometimes... that abuse of victims could pass that behavior on to do other children. The abuse could pass onto other generations. It must be stopped. Protect all the children from this evil.

My mother was sexually abused by her own father as a teenager. It affects generations afterwards. I had a tough childhood, not physically but emotionally and I still have to occasionally take therapy even though I wasn’t directly involved and that’s because my mother didn’t handle it well with us her children. Sexual abuse really has catastrophic consequences.

I live in Memphis, TN and get notified every time a sex offender moves near me. My daughter and granddaughter live with me. I do not allow her in the front yard ever, unless we are leaving. If I go out somewhere with her I have the child protection cuff that is attached to her and myself. Wonder world we live in.

In States that the age of consent is below 18 almost every one limits the age difference to 2 to 4 years. Reason being. Teenagers would not be criminals for engaging in dating relations, but anyone older will still be charged.
Here in Victoria Australia, the Age Of Consent (AOC) is 16 if the partner is under 21. Beyond 21 the AOC is 18yo. I'm a 62YO trade teacher and teach students from 17 - 53yo. Anyone under 30 seems like a little kid now. Just horrifying that it goes on.
