There are so many interpretations online and they are all valid but mine is this: the woman he meets is his muse and she is his "pain divine". He reconciles with her at the end and can now leave to explore a world of concepts and ideas. I always enjoy your reactions thanks.
I love, love, love this song and where he is going on his artistic journey. I love he has the courage to free himself from all "the boxes", and go where he needs to go - it's so interesting. But because of that, he will leave some people behind and that is okay - when you make a bold artistic choice that will often happen. INDIGO is also one of my favorite albums of all the members - and I love how personal his projects are - he is truely an artist and a poet. I'm so excited for his new album!.
