The UK has become increasingly uncompetitive with overall GDP growth driven mainly from immigration, GDP per capita falling and one of the worst productivity rates of the developed world. All this coupled with crippling rates of taxation and astronomical energy prices. What about all that makes you think anyone is keen to invest in the UK for anything other than tax payer subsidised scams like green energy. Industry is closing down, even service industries are increasingly uncompetitive and the deregulation we were promised in 2016 has failed to materialise making the UK more complex than ever to operate in for business. If the UK was worth investing in people would already be doing it, there wouldn't need to be an investment summit to beg investors to consider the UK.
