Why is it that Haney isn't as good as we thought and not that Garcia is just better than we thought? Garcia may just have a bad style for Haney. I hate this idea that as soon as an undefeated boxer loses, they're not that good. Fighters lose when they take risky fights, Haney is no exception.
@@muhammadzain1_ True he's still got room for development. I still think he'd beat a lot of the top guys at 140 too. People are too quick to cast judgement.
I think it's because Haney is a protected fighter, everything stscked in his favour, judges, ref etc. Also the big promotional push and the gift decision he had against Loma strengthens this view point. Peace.
Stopped reading at lomachenko. You loma cryachenko fans are annoying af. Lona has three losses and three excuses, and you fangirls always crying on unrelated fights about loma being robbed everytime. Loma tearsachenko lost, get over it man. This win is RYANs win, HIS victory, NOT lomas. Loma lost to pillowfist haney, just like he lost twice before... sorry, "robbed" twice before like all loma losses.
@@recodegamesstudio At this particular moment in time, according to thumbs up responses 44 people agree with me and only one with you (probably liked your own post)
On point Mr. Cobra. The ref definitely showed biased towards Haney. The judge that scored it 112-112 only gaved Garcia a 10-8 in round 10 when he dropped Haney TWICE. Drop them once, and that's a 10-8, and I'm not a judge.
All three judges gave him a 10-8 round for the knockdowns. The 112-112 is a legit judging, but it really should have been 113-111 imo. Ref needed to take a point from Haney for holding, not Garcia for the jab during the break.
@@hemmydall I had it 113-111 to Haney. A lot of people talking crap, Garcia scored 3 knockdows and rocked Haney in the first...but didn't do much else...Haney was edging all the other rounds.
@@ZaydDepaor exactly. Haney landed half his jabs and a third of his power punches. Problem is he doesn't actually have power to stop Garcia when he became aggressive.
Carl Froch, If you read this I’d like you to know u was one of my favourite fighters to watch, a true throwback fighter. Only a handful of fighters I consider could compete in any era & you are one of them I consider.
They fought at 136 with a 10lbs rehydration clause. Ryan with a broken rib and dehydrated af on the ring. It was impressive he was actually even fighting tbh
@@Anonymous-bb8mgyou’re partly wrong there. Yes the judges were being biased to AJ, however the Ref was on Usyk’s side. Usyk had the same ref in the AJ and Dubois fights that were protecting Usyk from the body shots that he kept faking as low blows.
@@leedavies3563let me guess, you think all the elite boxers are clean. Klitschko, Beterbiev, David Haye, Anthony Joshua, pacquiao, mayweather, let’s keep on going…
The ref had a stinker or was clearly biased towards Haney, Garcia rewrote the script and full respect to him. I was genuinely concerned for Garcia given his behaviour over the past few weeks and the weigh in but what a performance.
Still not convinced Ryan doesn’t need help. His incredible natural talent was enough against Haney who doesn’t handle power and fast hands well. He still admitted to drinking every day before the fight and admitted he wasn’t in the best shape. That WILL catch up to him quickly.
"A squirrel buries its nuts in the summer so it's got something to eat in the winter. Collecting nuts in the summer is a worthwhile job. Every task you do at work, think to yourself, what would a squirrel do? Think squirrels. Think nuts" [David "The Cobra" Brent] 😆🥊
Froch knows the score. He knows about bohemian Grove etc and agrees with much of what Ryan says. Said he talks the truth. Good man Carl. I remember an interview with you calling yourself a pureblood. Respect 👊
It was a scrappy fight. I think the occasion and left hook in the first round took Haney completely off his plan. This is where Mayweather was just on a different level. Mosley was no slouch, pinged Mayweather and Floyd’s reaction was different level. Haney panicked.
Did you watch the full fight? Garcia didn't do much apart from the three knockdown rounds and the first....Haney won everything else. I had Haney winning 113-11 if you include the point deduction. People don't understand how boxing scoring works. The judge who had it a draw was closest to truth, the judge who had Garcia miles ahead should be sacked.
@@ZaydDepaor😂 he’s lucky he didn’t have 5 knock downs counted. 112-112 is not completely outlandish, but no way more than that. You have no clue how to score fights, or maybe you do and it’s your bias clouding your judgement
Love your channel Carl. Spot on about the ref. I do think you are quick to judge a fighter on their last fight. I remember your last video you told us Garcia was no good and a quitter after taking a hell of a body shot from Tank. Now Haney is no good because he got beat. Why cant a fighter have an L without being written off by you? Would you write your self off after you lost to Kessler or Ward? This is what happens when the best fight the best, someone loses. We should be applauding these fighters for actually fighting each other rather than saying they are what we thought they were when they lose.
@@bwilliamson3887 I'm not, you didn't watch the fight or don't understand what you are watching or don't understand how boxing scoring works...Froch is an emotional fool.
@ZaydDepaor I've watched boxing for 18 years. I know how boxing works. Harder punches and knockdown count for more in pro boxing. Not tippy tap then grab like Haney did.
@@ZaydDepaor he subject to emotions as any other human being however i when obersving a fight and dissecting a bout clinically you aint seeing the whole picture if you've abounded objectivity and i si suppose if your emotional and noy somewhat disspassionate your assessment id tainted however . looking at this fight from so many different angles its clrear outside the knockdown haney actually won most of thoes rounds however in my view he was defensively irresponsible and departed from his usual safety first style which he abounded which wasnt helped ny his over emorional over hyped dad meet me in the circle bullshit which played right into Ryan hand ,that being his signature left hook the rehydration clause the haney didnt have in place served rtan well has he clearly had no intention to make for his own adventageous reasons
You don’t need a rematch when it’s that big of a One sided BEAT down. FROCH, the Tank fight was at 135lbs! Not 140! And Garcia had a rehydration clause!
@TraderInTheLab wasn't totally outclassed at all. The glazing that's happened since that fight is joke it was a good win for ward but definitely wasn't a shut out froch was coming on very strong in the later rounds froch was wards hardest fight outside of the kovolev fights. One judge only had him losing by one round

I was having a row about you with a work colleague, I said you boxed Infront of 80:000 at Wembley but he weren't having it, it almost came to blows, so please once and for all how many people were there when you smacked up gorgeous George? You really don't bring it up enough and you should mate, be proud you deserve some positive affirmation x
Mr Froch definitely one of my favourite fighters of all time but always thought you took life too seriously absolutely love to see the real you the banter with you and your good lady wife if mint. Great content as usual your honesty is refreshing keep doing what you’re doing up the Cobra 👊🏻💯
Carl You was a good fighter and a pleasure to watch. We all knew what you achieved and it was a brilliant career but you don’t need to keep bigging yourself up . Just keep on with the good vids 👍
Always got told never rule out a crazy. People forget Garcia has boxed for long time and he may not look it as has pretty privilege but he also can fight there's a difference. The ref saved Haney from getting el sparko'd.. must of had a bet on.
The ref was an absolute disgrace. The first knockdown of Haney's career he gets a 15 second 10 count, the ref separated them again instantly when Ryan tried to pounce on him, then Devin holds on for dear life and the ref takes a point from Ryan for punching on the break and gives Devin another 10 seconds to recover. Then calling the other 2 knockdowns "slips" was insane.
Another good one cobra , and as I know you are a avid watcher of bunker vision I’d like to thank you for your continued support, it means the world to me to know that a fighter of your calibre who is also a hall of fame’r is such a fan of bunker vision and Rachel of course
Devin Haney (actual quote to Ryan before the fight) _"you only got a left hook, thats all you got"_ Also Devin Haney: * gets his ass knocked down 3 times from left hooks * 😂
The corruption was the judge who gave it to Garcia by a wide margin, the judge who had it a draw was closest to truth, I had Haney winning it, he won 8 rounds to 4...113-111
After Haney fight with Linares we realised that the guy don't have an iron chin. After Loma fight we realised that the guy was not good enough in skills department. It was a matter of time when both factor it was going to play a role. He reminded me of Jermaine Taylor, good solid fighter who lacked a lot and was stopped by big punchers with decent skills. Even after he recovered after Pavlik loss, he was pummeled again by none other than our fine host.
Good summary, Carl. Garcia definitely redeemed himself and put in a great performance. Also worth noting that Haney showed unbelievable heart to get up from those knockdowns (with a bit of help from the ref).
I never really thought Haney was like the next floyd. He reminded me off Zab judah where hes very talented but at the same time abit vulnerable and can be hurt and out fought in there. Haney is a rhythm fighter and if you take him out if his rhythm he starts to have problems. Saw that when he fought loma.
Great analysis and respect for giving Ryan his due.. I think alot of people are doing the same.. We forget these athletes dedicate there lives to sport and focus on social media posts if anything he should be lauded for being able to build a following outside the ring and being a personality.. If Ryan was nice in the build up the casuals aren't tuning in.
Spot on for me, I think Haney struggles to take a shot and well said about being dead at the weight and giving him his probs, shows Froch isn’t just bashing for the sake of it.
And a broken rib against tank , I think he just had no legs against tank, be a good fight at a catch-weight, great show again Carl, still makes the hairs on arms stand up when you won the title in the last few seconds of the 12,th round in America, all my friends my age, nearly 50, all loved watching you fight, a true granite chin
I never rated Haney originally, but when he beat Kambosos, Lomachenko(even though I had Loma in front), and Prograis, I thought maybe I'm wrong. Last night, he looked a bit chinny, though, and possibly he was a little overrated.
i had the impression that the Haney corner told Harvey Dock to watch out for Ryan holding... as he was instantly jumping in to break... and then Haney was constantly holding because he was hurt and taking damage, with no warnings!
Haney showed heart. Super impressed with that. He needs to improve his thinking in the ring. He knew the problem but couldn't find a solution in there.
Why is everyone forgetting other than ryans knockdown and power punches hany was the better fighter overall. even ryan got rocked at one point. This is still a dangerous fight for both e=even if they have a rematch
