God have mercy on those who think this world is more important than obeying the word of God. We were all like that once, as Paul says, but God gave us a way out and we took it, knowing that not to do that would mean death in the most complete sense of the word. But there are many who don't see that, or want to see that, and choose death over life.

I’m on the last chapter of a book Paul Maier wrote called Josephus The Essential works. I had already read the Old Testament and New Testament several times and continue to read. I was struck by the fact that A people had been chosen by God to be a light to the world, to glorify God. Reading the last few chapters of Josephus brought tears and brought your message on Romans 1 to light. It all took place in Israel and ended in the destruction and dispersion. I kept thinking how could that have happened. I look at our nation and what’s called Christianity and find myself asking the same question. It appears that the knowledge and honor of God is not only absent from many nation but sadly from many churches that use to be orthodox in teaching and worship. I’m thankful that Truth for Life has remained faithful in promoting and teaching truth all these years.

I am very convicted. I have been praying for the Lord to show me how to be a conduit of His love for the lost, for the persecuted, and for my family. He used your lesson to answer some of those. I am thankful. Live never fails. My love fails, but His never fails.🙏🏻✝️♥️

By "turning over" , I thought of the "liberty" in Jeremiah 34 "Therefore, thus says the LORD: You have not obeyed me by proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and to his neighbor; behold, I proclaim to you liberty to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine, declares the LORD. So often, Alistair has touched upon the various societal problems that are covered within this particular sermon, but in a more individualistic reference depending on the sermon he’s giving. This last one has been my new ‘all in one’ calling card if you will, when I’m choosing to lay out before an audience or friends, an expression in the way society is and has been crumbling for sometime and is progressively moving forward in the manner that it is. This sermon really encompasses the nature as well as the difficult task that is laid before us all, who are in Jesus… our commission, that we are to go out into a world that is rapidly falling farther and farther away from a reality of oughtness and plain biblical truth and morality, with the Gospel message. I’m thankful that God’s Word, through Alistair, teaches how to approach and address in most cases, people who currently align with the worldly view that is plaguing humanity… with a gentleness and with love but also with boldness. The fields are white for harvest. Here am I LORD… Send me. Thank you God for your clear instruction contained in the Bible… And for your servant Alistair. Amen

Since discovering a true shepherd, and Pastor Alistair Begg I’ve been drawn frequently to listen to many of his messages Many are from days gone by, but each one has the eternal truth prevailing that never changes while listening to them. We do appreciate you very much. "There is no dimension of human existence that is unaffected by sin." So, so true. And that sin like leaven has spread through the whole lump of dough.

Gods gave them up is done like a parent tries to stop their child from substance abuse but the child fights and resist help. The parent at one point has to give them up to reap the consequences, waiting patiently to come back to them for help. God’s wrath is always therapeutic, not punishment. No more than a parent must threaten a 4 yr old not to go out onto the street. It’s sad and wrong to teach God’s wrath is punishment. Our Father wants us to love Him bc we choose to love voluntarily as we love our spouse, children, and so on. If our Father threatened us with punishment, the bond of trust and love is broken, just as forcing your spouse to love you by threats of harm does not work.

Lord I realise daily my need of You and Your Word that is unchanging. Help me to love like YOU! Set my heart ablaze for you and what matters to you. In Jesus Name.🔥

I have only recently discovered Alistair Begg & am learning so much thru his ministry here in Truth For Life but I have to admit that sometimes his brilliance is over my head & I cannot get his final point it does grieve me when this happens because I’m not really sure where I need to go from there being a Christian & very much want to love God in Jesus Christ & trust only in his word

Roman’s 1 makes me TREMBLE. The first step that begins the decline is when they make another human into a god then the creeping things etc. it’s a slippery slope downwards. A REPROBATE MIND sounds terrifying

Really like your speaking style. Very succinct. Found myself rewinding just to relisten to certain sentences because they so concisely encapsulated your point. I've become very sad and down regarding the condition of our culture and constant decline of our civilization. In a funny way its made me thirstier for God's word and hearing what he says. I'm hanging on each point hoping it will help me make some sense of this debased world. Does God want us to withdraw from the culture, throw our hands in the air and just accept the fate we see coming plain as day? Or should we fight this decay and hope to bring the culture back. Thoughts? At the end you began to touch on how to proceed. Please speak more to this. What can I do in everyday life to show Christ's love and help lead people to repentence?

We are made perfect and until the wicked here helps 2 mold people 2 their ways but this secret society way is going 2 brought out again 4 all things end.

The reality is very scary and most of these people refer to themselves as Christians and are in the police force just look at the met and institutions i.e. Care homes mental health services that's why people don't go to church the church is broken and that is really sad !!!

The one thing I have noticed that trying to just be at peace with these people they become very militant they want you to talk sexual they want you to act out that talk and then when you try to talk about your beliefs they shut you down I have learned to be quick to hear slow to speak and slow to even react to them but just silently pray for them I worked with them side by side but the pressure was so great I had to leave one of my jobs because of it I left my job in good standing and I did bless them as I left them that's what Jesus said to do I am not as biased as I was towards them because I know that they are sinners and they need Jesus Christ they need his salvation they need his peace his grace and above all his love and eternal life so my perspective has changed towards these people because they're Sinners and not one sin is greater so I pray for them even more than I ever have been and I tried to get peace amongst them but I will not compromise with the Gospel of Jesus Christ ever if that means I have to leave my job to do it unfortunately a place like Royal King you think that they would be Christian friendly actually where I worked it was just the opposite and I was bullied and harassed and threatened and I had to walk out don't think just because the title says king or Royal on it doesn't mean that they are Christians because they may play the music but it's not really in their heart to be Christians because it's not in their actions

I really appreciate this series, since recently our pasture has introduced us to Sam Allberry, a (self) proclaimed homosexual pasture in England who is abstinence and therefore it's okay to be same sex attracted and be a gay pasture. Even though Alistair doesn't address this particular situation, I believe this is exactly what is happening in the church today, the enemy is desensitizing Christians to this this lie and the church is accepting it as "Okay and God is okay with it. Whatever happened to 2cor. 5:17 Are we really a "New Creation as the bible teachers or a slightly new creation? Don't get me wrong, I know we all struggle with things, but what about being made new by the renewing of our minds?

I like the more accurate translation of the KJV, gave them over to a REPROBATE mind. Basically they are incapable of salvation, they are reprobate, past the point of no return. Thats the part thats missing from this otherwise pretty good message.

Unfortunately I have family members that accept this lifestyle what they call alternative lifestyle and I do not that makes me the black sheep of the family I stand for God's truth and his love I try to be kind to all people but I will not Bend to that type of corruption ever before I was a Christian I was involved with people and I was almost sucked into that lifestyle by the grace of God God has kept me safe from it there is a fine line when you walk across that and it's very hard to get back to normal or even some sense of normalcy because Satan wants to destroy the mind if he can destroy your mind he's got you that's why Jesus says to renew your mind in Christ every day and recognize that we are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ we are no longer sinners we no longer desire that lifestyle Jesus said such of some of you was now you're not you are washed white as snow by his blood only by his grace and mercy only not by works praise God hallelujah I am a child of the Lord Jesus Christ

You seem to be a genuine preacher of the truth, if that is so then pls if you quote Eugene Peterson , then caution your listeners that his message bible is a corruption indeed a parody of Gods word, even though some things are expressed well.
