I had spoken to a publican when the first smoking ban come in, he said he was losing 2 pints a night of one guy (example) because he was standing out side, this guy come in every night after work, roughly 10 pints a week x by 100 at least, Starmer is a disgrace.

Another kick in the teeth to the Hospitality sector, drinking, smoking go together for a lot of people and if they cannot have a smoke outside with their pint they wont use the pubs. Its better to at least let them smoke outside rather than inside at home.

The Smoking ban in outdoor spaces is very popular in the most Republican states of the USA. So it is hardly a socialist policy.

"People don't go to pubs to smoke". Not primarily but smoking makes every activity a little more enjoyable , with the possible exception of scuba diving and space walking. However, pubs were traditionally a great place to enjoy a ciggie and a pint in a nice warm room with friends. Denying people like me the human dignity of shelter was nasty and the outdoor ban is nasty too. It is essentially hate legislation aimed at a minority that has no legal protection. Smokers can not adopt children which just shows you how deep the hatred for people like me is now. And all this is justified with nothing more than health statistics that are generally based on estimates derived from non-randomised samples, those statistics are not based on real world whole population data. They literally make up numbers and then use those numbers to spread fear and hostility towards smokers so they can fool legislators and the public into passing laws aimed at eliminating a class of citizen from society.

No, this is NOT a ridiculous idea! It has worked really well in Australia for years and every time we come back to the UK we are surprised it’s still allowed. You want to smoke? Go home.

Keir walks around in public worry free....not Trump of Farage.... Keir should be made to feel like it s not a good idea to walk the streets in daylight hours...even with security around him ....he should be made to feel UNSAFE....or perhaps made to feel like getting in a boat and crossing the channel to safety... in France.
