It wasn't the press that made him lose friends it was his wife, if they expressed an opinion she didn't agree with , then they were out. As to other "friends", if they sold a story on him when he was growing up, then I would respectively say they were not real friends in the first place because real friends wouldn't do that.

News flash - Prince William also lost his mom but look at him and the way he dealt with it. My guess is that he also had to deal with the tabloids, and as well as Princess Catherine when she was dating him. Harry isn't the only person who lost their mother at a young age. I was younger than he was when my mother died and there are thousands of others with the same experience. It seems that things have gotten worse for him since he married Meghan. Is she feeding all of this to him? Princess Royal Ann is/was a Spare. He could have learned a lot from her.

I am SO SICK AND FED UP WITH HEARING ABOUT POOR HARRY because his mother died! Prince William lost his mother too!! This isn’t just about Harry. I myself lost my father in a plane crash when I was 3. No one has ever said how bad they feel for me and my siblings throughout our lives and we all struggled too with an exhausted over worked mother who did not have time to raise her children once my father was gone. Harry has had every advantage and every possible privilege under the sun. If he still wants to pander for sympathy over his mother’s death he will never get it because he has no idea what it’s like to grow up with absolutely no parents, no security or with a struggling mother who can barely make ends meet. He was surrounded by people he could have called on for help and support. Thousands and thousands of people all over the world face these losses and they don’t have near the financial security that this self obsessed self pitying guy did. If I was questioning him on that stand I would have asked him: So how do you claim your privacy has been violated and yet you’ve shared with the world in a book that your male member was frostbitten and had to be surgically treated? You told all about your “FIRST ENCOUNTER” but you want us to agree with you that your privacy has been violated by the press when it is clearly you who has violated your privacy the most!

Many children have lost a parent. Some have have both parents. Give us a break. Harry had didn’t the past few years purposefully putting himself in front of cameras, numerous interviews, and Netflix shows.

PS. No one says William ALSO lost his mother. Harry is making out Diana was HIS mother and no one else's.

American here. I am watching this case Harry has brought as an explanation of his statement that he cannot understand our First Amendment to our Constitution and thinks it's "bonkers." Apparently he has an entitled mentality that imagines that if stories in the press make him angry or uncomfortable he can forbid the press from reporting, rather than refraining from reading the tabloids which is what most public figures do. Part of being a public figure is learning to ignore these stories and "consider the source." I stand in line at the supermarket which is the only place I see a rack of tabloid newspapers and I look at the headlines and think, "Who reads these?" but I know there is a large audience. Just as there is an audience who chooses to read them, the subjects of the stories can choose to ignore the sensational take on the stories. It seems as though other members of the royal family ignore the stories in the tabloids. Hasn't Harry caught on to that tactic? Why doesn't he emulate that behavior?

Had Harry been from a poor town and shoved into an orphanage or left with an abusive drunken father, then yes, but that didn't happen and wasn't the case. He's had every opportunity. Let's face it.
