This judge is actually good. Once, while doing inspection, the judge said, “nice cube. Can I try it?” Me in my head: “ASK THAT AFTER THE SOLVE”. But the judge on the video actually waited until the end.
Just amazing dude I'm only sub 40 but I don't even have a speedcube I'll wait till summer for that sadly, and of course sub 10 is the goal so I'll keep training with the bad cube lmao
I know it's already past summer but with a trash cube to a speed cube your times would drop drastically. I'm pretty sure you would have been sub 20 pretty quick and likely already hit sub 15 and getting close to sub 12. Ofc, it depends on how much time you put into learning
At the very least this would be a +2, you can't start the timer with just your fingertips and when you stopped the timer it looked like you were touching the cube simultaneously.
Delegate here. Nothing in the regs against starting with your fingertips. A6e2 says that brief touches that don't affect the puzzle state may be waived at the discretion of the judge.
@ilvestri A4) Starting the solve: A4b) The competitor uses their fingers to touch the elevated sensor surfaces of the Stackmat timer. The competitor's palms must be facing down, and located on the side of the timer that is closer to the competitor. Penalty: time penalty (+2 seconds). Maybe if he show a medical paper that proves hyperhidrosis he can do it. But there is a rule for it.
its the other way around, your fingertips have to be on the pads, not your palms. if it were your palms then your fingers would be too close to the cube. he is doing it the right way
@@fantisciousi retract my previous statement, the timer start is legal. You just need to have your fingers touch according to regs, fingers are touching here, Brian Johnson does something similar and it’s fine.

If your hands touch the cube like you said you have to put the cube far away but all your hands must be on the timer.
