“How To” tape get my puppies ears to stand. Yorkie taping ears 

It’s one things to ask if it’ll hurt the puppy and another to just call her mean and a monster. How rude. Thank you so much for the tip! My yorkie is 8 weeks and seems to have one floppy ear so I’m trying this with masking tape 🙂

I just saw a video on TikTok of a lady that used nose strips (to stop snoring & breathe better strips) and wig glue! I think this is a genius way to do it! Gorilla tape hurts coming off of me and I’m a grown adult not a 1lb puppy with tiny sensitive ears, skin and hair! 🫶

Does this hurt the baby?? I have a Yorkie whose ears start coming up and then went back down. I don’t want to hurt my little with pulling the tape away 🥹

For how long should we do this?

I did this today on my Yorkie puppy that I got a few days ago. She is 12 weeks. Is it too late? She hasn't fought with the tape so far, so it's stayed on for hours. Should I just leave it on for a few days for good measure?

Vets say ears go up in three to six months. So why start earlier? I think I'll wait a bit, my boy is only 10 weeks.

I’m a long time breeder and it’s been my experience that helping to have ears stand is what’s in the pups best interest. My very long haired yorkies have thick long ear hair, inside and out, when bathing which is very often, if there’s any type of moisture left in that ear, in the outside no matter if you put cotton in before or blow dry the heck out of it, a bit of moisture holds on to them hairs, along with that heavy hair filled ear creates a warm moist environment, this is a breeding ground for bacteria to grow and can create a moist environment that fungi can multiply in, perhaps even ear mites may collect so I make it a point to help stand those ears up as much as possible for healths sake and i’m sure they feel more comfortable, healthy, instead of moist itchy ears and their hearing abilities also can improve with clear access no hair no moisture no ear mites that’s my experience so i like sharing this

i have a 6 week old yorkie pup, i shaved her ears (inside & out) & am currently on day 4-5. her ears only stand for a few mins before flopping again, how long does it normally take to get them to stand

I’m using packing tape. I would think that gorilla tape would tear off the puppies hair and hurt.

My pups are nine weeks ears are down can I still use the tape will they manage to stand ?
