i am glad i have someone who really does see it that way to ask this: How do you recolcile the vibration of violence with 'sprititual practice'..... Do you know what I mean?..... I love martial arts, I love using my body, i love the skill, disciple, the beauty, the challenges etc... as you do... but I also have a spiritual practice where I try to be mindful, try to attain higher vibrations in mind, body and spirit... The problem is... that after a certain point.... Violence can't really be a part of love/enlightenment.... Even competition... is one person _beating_ another... ... WOuld love to hear how ppl who consider martial arts if they ALSO want to attain a particular level of enlightenment... (if there are any who are doing more than just seeing it as a form of meditation or body mastery - which is a fine and beautiful thing...)but i wonder how can you attain higher states, if you are still practicing to hurt ppl?

Paxus I personally wouldn’t compete in mma because of the violent aspect of it as much as I love martial arts. But when I’m training, and learning I’m just lost in my passion. I find peace in training, and not training to hurt others but to better myself. And the hopes and ability to protect others. I deff agree and see what you mean though, I just love and found peace in martial arts.

@MMA GOAT When you're a fighter and have millions. Its hard to get punched in the face for money. To your point, the only thing Conor can go for is legacy and status. Question for ya, if you're a multimillionaire, would you really care about about your legacy as a fighter? Does that really matter to his family and his friends? Also the point of the quote is that after making it to the top, its hard to still have the drive to get out there and work as if you're still trying to be champion. @SkankHunt 420 The idea used to be that fighters, especially championship fighters, got up before anyone and trained later than anyone. Mike Tyson talked about this a lot, if you're sleeping at 5 am and I'm training at 5 am who is putting in the work? Its a psychological edge as well as psychical. I think that training smarter is important, but these guys at this level train multiple times a day. Floyd Mayweather would hit the gym at like two in the morning.

Leading into the khabib fight , everyone was talking about how conor looks more focused and hungry than ever and how his boxing is better than ever after the floyd fight. Only after the fight has the 'unhungry conor' bullshit started . Whenever a mega star losses there will always be bullshit excuses and fake narrative created out of nowhere after they lose.

Even in the press conferences for it, he looked....off. he didn't have the same footwork or movement we'd see in the past. He was slow and heavy footed. He walked khabib down or tried to and he should've been playing it smart. Keeping light on his feet and moving. The argument remains that khabib style is the perfect counter to Conor's so it may not even matter. Best version of Conor most likely can't be khabib
