@@aligensa people also need a reality check though that people in stardom rely on their looks for their livelihood, and they often have a fat bank account to accompany that. if you're a bank teller or whatever profession outta the limelight, stressing about not looking like shania twain at 57 is probably not a priority you need to worry about. So the question is: is this on you or people like shania to measure a beauty standard and decide what's appropriate? people would do better if they stuck with their own convictions and not fretted about the decisions and livelihoods of others.

She has dysphonia of the vocal cords, it’s one of the many results of her Lyme disease. She has worked on it for many years with doctors and vocal coaches, but recently had vocal cord surgery, which really helped loosen up and improve her vocal cords. That’s why she sounds amazing singing these days. It’s almost back to her old voice , though not hundred percent.

I really appreciate that Colbert does not tell female guests that they look lovely or fantastic. This must be a conscious decision on his part. Man, though, it must be hard sometimes! I think my jaw nearly dropped. It must be 20 plus years after Shania made it big. Could not believe it when she came hopping out in that dress. Seriously, she looks fit and happy. Good for her! THIS. I love that Stephen was so respectful and didn’t focus on her appearance or objectify her at all. Go Stephen! Btw, she looks that good because of the cosmetic work she got done. She was always amazingly gorgeous but she did age - she just reversed it with procedures.

To me, she definitely looks older, but her body looks great for her age, and she looks fit. That doesn't just come from surgery. Well, not all of it, anyway! lol.

That said Id be surprised if she hasn’t had some at least some body procedures done as well. Tbh at first I wondered if she wasn’t on some sort of stimulants lol.

Yep it’s such a privilege. Probably only 1% of the people of this planet can afford that luxury. I am seriously in awe of that minority. Keep looking back at my life thinking: what went wrong?! Why can’t I live off my talents as well?! I too love writing like Shania, only I write sciency, new age, philosophy books, and there’s no money to that. Really wish that I’d been born a hot country singer instead lol Apparently in music if you have it you can still somehow make it work, if your country has a big enough industry.
