“I’m in a tough spot” 2020 Chosen update 

Dallas, I heard recently that the most faith - filled words are: “I don’t know. “ Remember Joseph didn’t know why he was going to Bethlehem- Noah didn’t know why or how to build an ark, Can you imagine how scared Moses was to lead the people through the sea. He surely didn’t know what was happening around him. I fully believe that if you continue to do the next right thing you will continue to see great miracles. I know it’s a huge responsibility, but you have been chosen for this, and God is blessing your faithfulness, he is not going to stop now. We are all praying for you, your crew, cast and that doors will be opened where they need to be. We all love you and are grateful for your obedience to the Father.

God will present opportunities that none of us could even think about. He’ll provide in good timing not our timing.

Heavenly father clear away this confusion, this uncertainty, and give this man and this cast strength. Guide him God.

The Rain has always been a symbol of God's blessing. He is talking to you brother, it is going to be alright. He's got this

Whether God says "Yes, move now." Or whether He says "No, not yet" I pray you will hear His voice behind you saying "This is the way, walk in it" Of course we would all love for the Lord to say "Let's go" but as Jesus prayed, "not my will but yours". "Unless the Lord builds the house, they that labor labor in vain." I pray that you will see clearly, without any doubt which house the Lord is building. I believe that once again He wants to prove that it's HIS work, not ours. I appreciate your openness and honestly. Thank you for allowing us to see your heart and share this journey. It is an example to all of us if how we ought to be toward one another.

"The Chosen" is anointed by God. He has used the film to speak to countless lives. May God bless you with His clear direction in this time of seeking.

"Do not worry." - Jesus' words, not mine. After all the One who made mountains move and giants fall- has He not brought you safe so far? Look at all that's been accomplished in your life- by His grace. He's been faithful then and He'll be faithful now. God bless.

Don’t give up please. I can see this series going beyond the crucifixion through the Acts of the Apostles.

You have been given these challenges as opportunities because God knows there is no one more capable of confronting these opportunities than you. Season One is witness to this fact. You are in the right place to listen. It is His timing and that you must trust in. God Bless your work! 💖💖💖💖

You are doing the right thing by setting the time aside to hear from the Lord. Remember that God orders your steps, he gives you wisdom and if you lack wisdom ask and he will give it to you. Also, remember that we walk by faith and not by sight, sometimes we dont know what we are going to do ahead of time, but thats why it is a walk; one step at a time. I would encourage you to not let yourself be discouraged but encourage yourself in the Lord by reading and studying your bible, pray, praise and worship, and always keep your armor on because we do have an adversary. You are on the right track my friend and i will support you in prayer.

Your faith has moved people’s hearts all over the world....faith is also a gift.....I pray you remember The Lord’s faithfulness to you.

Dude, I know you are called 'The Director' on this project but this latest little 8 min film showed who is REALLY directing all this and I've got to tell you, The Real Director on this project is awesome. The scene is outstanding! How He put together the script and scene with the timing seemed almost supernatural, especially how the Director worked with the SFX guy seamlessly to create the dramatic effect. "I am just so unsure" - cue dramatic thunder - 01:19. And the sudden rain seemed so real to me it was almost believable! The Director's choice of cast was superb too and the actor looked so emotionally involved in the scene it was hard to believe it wasn't real! I was sucked-in completely. What a great actor but, again, I suspect the actor was elevated by the direction of The Director. I think you are doing the right thing: do what you can but, most of all, get out of the Director's way and let His talent and genius steer each step. Even the way the script allowed for an off-camera lamb-bleat at 0:35 to emphasize the surrender & sacrifice the script was trying to convey was pure Genius as its subliminal messaging was profound, yet sweetly subtle. If I had to criticize one thing I'd suggest the makeup dept needs to ask the stylist to sharpen her comb as the use of bed-hair made me chuckle at one point. But, again, maybe that was all part of The Director's plan as it humanized an otherwise slick performance (method acting masterclass?). Make sure your main actor (Dallas I think he is known as) gets a tiny bit more sleep and encourage him to drink plenty of water every day for a couple of weeks. Could you put me in touch with the SFX guy please as the timing, ferocity and believability of the rain at the end was utterly FIRST CLASS. It almost looked real. Flawless!

What a timing for the Rain !!!! And what a timing for The Father to let you know that He Reigns !!! May The Lord Jesus speak to you through His Holy Spirit so clearly like never before and guide you into fulfilling His plans brother!!

Now more than ever, this series must come into being. The world needs Jesus. Thank you!

July 5, 2020 Dallas: I was extremely moved by your You Tube video "I am in a tough spot." After pondering what you said and praying about it, I would like to share with you some things I "know" from the same Source that you know what you learn and know. I know that you are a very good person. I know that the advisors, business partners, crew and cast that you are working with are very good people (from watching a myriad of the Chosen videos). I know that the whole Chosen project and efforts is extremely important for the world, especially at this time, and I know He is pleased with what you are doing on/with it. I know as you know that faith and fear cannot dwell in your heart at the same time, and that the rain that came down at the end of the video fell from heaven to help wash away any doubts or fears that you are currently experiencing. I know that you have thousands of supporters who care about you and the project, and that among them, with your open and transparent appeal, you will have some "loaves and fishes" provided so that he can work the miracle. Those are things I know. This is what I am going to do. I will continue fasting and praying and pondering ways that I can reach out to some resource people that I know who could assist to resolve some of these uncertainties. Answers will come, blessings will come, a brighter future will come. Trust in the Lord--and I know that you do. Bless you and all of you. Lin Bothwell

Father we humbly come before You and thank You for our safety, health and The Chosen which You have used mightily to bless and save millions. Only You could have moved in Dallas's spirit to create, write and direct this project. Father he heard You and humbly presented You with his loaves and fishes and You've multiplied them by 40 million, only You could do that and we are so eternally grateful. Please ABBA guide Dallas now as he begins to work on the next chapter. Speak to him loud and clear about the next steps. Give him wisdom, guidance, clarity, discernment, abundant favor and Father strengthen him so he may follow Your lead boldly and You make straight his path. Keep he, Amanda and their family safe and healthy as well as his team. Father You've set apart this Chosen Army to be Your Arms and feet to spread Your Good News and it is reaching the world. hey dallas...the chosen has been one of the things that The Holy Spirit used to draw me back to The Trinity. if no more of the chosen is filmed, i will be forever grateful that you listened to The Holy Spirit and moved to create the chosen. in a few short months my spirit has been so transformed that the pastor of the church that i'm going to asked me to step in for him tomorrow and deliver the message. i am going to let the congregation know that the chosen played a big part part in my return to a truely Christian life. Just this morning I was praying similarly about circumstances in my own life...permit me to share what the Lord spoke to me: "I have not asked you to lead, but to follow."

I discovered The Chosen last week and as I finished it I just knew in my heart that the present situation makes it very difficult for this project to be able to persist - to finish what you started, so to speak. I‘m very grateful the Lord showed me this video today. We‘re indeed living in the midst of very strange times, uncertainty and confusion are trying to back us into a corner. Don’t be afraid, trust that Yeshua will make a way and IT WILL BE WELL. I‘ll be praying for you every day, you have my full support. Thank you so much for your transparency and for showing humility. You opened the door for blessings, by the faith and prayer of many many people He‘ll PROVIDE! God bless you all.

Dallas, here is my take on this. You and the people who are supporting you already know how the story ends. We know the scriptures. We understand the gospel. You've managed to raise enough money to create 5 new episodes, but the time to create those episodes has not yet come. I would not at all be surprised if things get considerably worse for people in the near future. I also would not be surprised if your people get a window of opportunity between now and then to produce a few new episodes that will be ready for release when people need them the most. Hang in there, buddy. Keep doing what you're doing and let God tell WHEN it's time to do what HE wants you doing.

Amen! praising The Faithful One with you Dallas. May the call of your heart bring the whisper of Gods plan clearly to you as you worship and seek Him. You are a lover of God and a humble servant. His Presence has drawn you to this place of providence. He is with you, and will declare the plans he has for you. May the metaphor of this rain produce the harvest of God. Dallas, first season turned so many to God, perhaps it was to prepare us for what we are going through now... it has made so many stronger 😇

We say to this mountain-MOVE! We say God’s timing is perfect. We say we will not pressure you, we will pray for you, we will anticipate Gods miracles in this. He seems to bring you to the valley floor before he hoists you up that mountain! Your family has probably reached a billion people with the gospel; he’s not done with you yet. Let us know how to support your actors. We felt your heart, we love you and your ministry. We’re not going anywhere!

Humility: a complete dependence on God. Dallas, your example of humility is what God wanted people to see. That this project is not dependent on your skill but on your crying out to Him for His inspiration. God is to be glorified and He won't share His glory with another. That's why the fellow who plays Jesus is so powerful because he displays the humility of Christ. Jesus brought humility from heaven to earth. Jesus lived a life of humility: born in a stable, could do nothing without His Father, and then he performed the ultimate act of humility by dying on the cross for us. His death gave death value. Now it's become a portal to the kingdom of God for us who believe. The movie series is demonstrating more than anything this message. It is God's doing and it is wonderful in our eyes. Rest in Him Dallas. Rest in His presence and absorb His peace and joy that He is in control. You do not have to perform. God has used you and will continue to do so as long as you humble yourself before Him and rest in Him.

My spirit knew that the "The Shepherd" was filmed there. Dallas, stand still and wait on the Lord. He will direct your paths. Just wait. God will direct your paths. Peace be Still. No hurry!!

God loves Suprises. Every miracle He has done in the past and even now has been awesome suprise to His children. Uncertainty always preceeds the miracle. Just like Elijah taking a break to hear from God at Mt Sinai. God will speak to you too and give you clarity. The rain starting, was literally God saying he is with you.

Dallas: As God began to manifest Himself to you in the voice of the thunder & the falling of the rain, He also began speaking to me. As Pastors of a small church, sometimes it appears that the struggles of life outweigh the fruit of the years invested...and events of this past week have brought great pain to our lives. However, your message of God's past faithfulness & your current heart cry to hear from Him for future direction, exploded truth into my spirit. Though I still don't have all the answers for what the future holds, and the mountains before us still seem so tall, I will continue to believe that HE MAKES MOUNTAINS MOVE...HE MAKES GIANTS FALL...and, I WILL BELIEVE IT! Thank you, brother! Hang in there brother...we join in prayer with you for greater miracles in the ministry of The Chosen. I firmly believe, you've seen nothing yet...what God will do in the days ahead will cause Satan's kingdom to shake...because the "bones are beginning to rattle..." Dallas, I can testify to His faithfulness in the worst of times. He will never leave you or forsake you. What appears to be a delay or an interruption is often only the preparation for His greater plans and a more glorious outcome. Tests are difficult but the day will come when you and the cast of The Chosen will set up your Ebenezer stones commemorating the many times the Lord has helped you and has brought victory in spite of daunting circumstances. Continue to let Him be your compass and any time that may appear to have been lost will be redeemed!

Totally get it, brother. I’m in a similar situation and need clarity about the future. May the Father graciously lead you by His Spirit, and May you walk hand in hand with Jesus, the One this is all about and who deserves all the glory, honor, and praise!

I've only recently heard about "The Chosen" and as a long time believer, I'm encouraged by your faith and what you are trying to do. Thank you for sharing this part of the journey with us, we'll watch together as God provides a way because you are calling on him and staying connected to Him. He is the vine you are the branch, apart from Him we can do nothing .... but with Him....wow wow wow watch out world!

Hey Dallas, often times with our limited perspective, things can seem as if they are going wrong, but if God wanted you guys to be making season 2 this year, then you guys will make it this year, God's plan will be achieved. This could be going completely perfect according to what He wants. Don't try and be the captain, let Christ be the head. Love you man, I'm a film production major and I want to do somethign similar to what you do, to use film to glorify the LORD. The Chosen is the best depiction of our Almighty Savior in my opinion, good luck to you, praying for y'all

My wife and I *really* enjoyed The Chosen. It was truly stunning to have those biblical characters brought to life on the screen in a way that, we felt, nobody else had done before. There are some good Christian flicks out there, but I think this was the first to speak to us humans in a very relatable way. Seeing Jesus in the light that you've portrayed him is extremely relatable while still retaining scriptural authenticity. I've recommended the show to both non-believers and believers. I truly believe The Chosen is an immensely effective way to spread the word. In a world of online streaming services (where most people spend their time) it is absolutely imperative that we have something just like The Chosen for people to be introduced to the Christian faith in a new way. This is absolutely marvelous work that is being done and we are so happy with Season 1 that it seems to stand as a giant on its own. We'll pray for your peace when facing the unknown, but I'll say that I see a lot of clarity in these comments. The Chosen has definitely affected a lot of people in immense and positive ways. Keep up the amazing work. :)

Jeremiah 1:11-12 The word of the Lord came to me: "What do you see, Jeremiah?" "I see the branch of an almond tree" The Lord said to me, "you have see correctly, for I am watching over My word to preform it". When Corrie Ten Boom was sneaking Bibles into Russia she prayed this scripture over her suitcase. And they did not check her suitcase in fact a guard offered to carry it for her. You are a part of a praying, God fearing people. The body of Christ, the church.

I’ve watched this so many times. It has encouraged me so deeply in my own journey of uncertainty. Thank you for being so transparent.

Wasn't that God talking already? "Hear attentively the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that comes from His mouth. He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth. After it a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain them when His voice is heard. God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend." (Job 37:2-5)

My prayers for you! The rain, a true metaphor for His blessing and His understanding and His covering! STAY STRONG! In the true Name ABOVE ALL Names!

“Get used to different.” God is looking for people to do what he has purposed them to do even if people don’t like it. Jesus did things that were far out of the norm. Healing the leper is like someone going unmasked into a room with COVID patients to heal them. We don’t worry about catching it or spreading it, our focus is love and healing. God handles everything. I laid hands on a guy with fully developed leprosy and it dissolved away before our eyes. It was just me and him. I didn’t do it for show and I wasn’t worried about catching it. I sensed Gods love for him and let God love him into healing. Have faith! We support you!

I love this so much. I love everything about The Chosen. The excellence of the story telling. The cast, crew, and their stories. The journey of faith for producing/creating it. The way it's being funded. What an incredible tapestry. Just incredible.

Brother, a few months ago, I posted on my channel my all time favorite Christian movie, and in the comment section quite a few people started telling me about, The Chosen, and asking me what I thought about it and if I had ever heard of it. In this day and age I am very skeptical and warn all of my subscribers to be very cautious and discerning about what they put into their hearts and minds, even in the name of Jesus. I only ever watched a short trailer. Yesterday, I finished four years worth of work that the father has asked me to do. Today, I thought what should I do with myself today? I wonder if I should watch one of my old favorite Bible movies and suddenly into my heart came, “the chosen“. Within 10 minutes, one of my dearest brothers texted me a clip from RU-vid, from your movie, with the scene of catching the fish and asked me if I had ever seen this. I was amazed and realized that perhaps the Lord was directing me to watch this series now. I’ve only watched the first three episodes so far before I came across this video of yours. My friend, my brother, this eight minute video of yours ended all of my doubts about the authenticity of your spirit and your faith in Jesus Christ. I praise God that he has given you a real, living, breathing faith! I could say so much more, but I look forward to learning more about you and this project and I pray that the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ will continue to be with you abundantly, as you remain humble enough to admit “You Cannot”, Faithful enough to declare, “He can” and patient enough to wait until, “HE DOES” He is the only God who acts on behalf of the one who waits for him! Isaiah 64:4, and no one who hopefully waits on him will ever be put to shame, Isaiah 49:23. May the Lord God bless every act prompted by your faith, in accordance with his will! God bless you my friend and I am so thankful to know you are a faithful servant of the Lord out there living by faith, which is truly pleasing to the Lord!

The holy spirit started raining down on you in that moment, God's timing is perfect and He will give you the answer right when you need it most

You, me and everyone watching knows that God will make a way. Continue to trust in him. And I wrote this comment before you talked about the song. It’s amazing how I chose to use the words “make a way”.

I needed to hear this. In a season of uncertainty and knowing God is good even in the midst. Praying for direction. I so appreciate your honesty and will be praying for you to finish waiting well :)

I feel a lot of us are being called for clarity. You aren't alone. When we seek him, even in uncomfort he will guide us. He is with us in distress and will show us his salvation.

"If it is God's work, He will sustain it." "The Chosen" is His work; God will sustain it. Thank you very much, Dallas, for sharing with us -- the viewers and the faithful -- your vocation and mission. God has invited you to listen to Him. His Voice in your ear will destroy all your fear. Your taking a step backward will enable you to take two steps forward. This is your "Dance with the Father". God is further intently working on you like a sculptor does. The artist carves and chisels away on a piece of wood, which cries out in greater pain, perhaps, for being subject to a transformation. Hang in there. it's when we admit our "lack" / needs / weakness, that He is best able to show His strength. We are praying diligently. Praying for wisdom, praying for providence, praying for discernment between the voice of God and the enemy, who we know does not want this to happen. God is teaching us all something in this wilderness time if we are listening carefully.

Hello Dallas... I came across your message this afternoon as I was looking up positive materials to watch during this crazy time in USA history. I remember back at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in March and being able to watch the CHOSEN being streamed online for free. I remember how wonderful it was to be together with others around the world and watching this amazing series that you have created. It's AWESOME! I loved it so much... I purchased Merch, I bought season one DVD's to share as gifts with family and friends and I helped to pass it forward online so that others could view this wonderful production. Like you... many of us are feeling a great loss and frustration due to Covid-19 and having our worlds turned upside down... as well as what's happening in American society at this time. We need Jesus more than ever in our lives and in our Nation. Hang in there... I have faith in God, that he is going to make a way for all of us to come through this challenging time... if we will turn to Him. Like millions of others around the world... we are all looking forward to season two of Chosen. It just may just take a little longer than planned. I just want you to know that you are in our prayers. Thanks for reaching out to us in this special video message, and sharing your personal humanity. We are all in this together!

Dallas, I want you to know that your heart is before the Father. I remember reading about Cane and Abel in the book of Genesis. I've always been curious as to why God accepted Abels sacrifice and not Canes. God made a statement to Cane, "If you do well, will not your sacrifice be accepted". The words IF YOU DO WELL illuminated from the pages. I asked God, why did you say if you do well. Why wouldn't he do well? He was a tiller of the ground. I looked up the Hebrew word for well - It is Yatab - One of the definitions was TO MAKE A THING GOOD, OR RIGHT OR BEAUTIFUL. I thought to myself, could it be, that Cane did not keep or till the ground with excellence. Could it mean, that he had the audacity to present to a living God dead fruit! The bible says God had no respect for Canes sacrifice. Which meant - to look away. The other definition said, A steady intent look, an inspection, watch. I believe the Lord showed me that He was intently looking and watching how Cane prepared and presented his sacrifice to Him. Because God will never accept what you give with your hands, if your heart is detached. Your sacrifice to Him is a representation of the condition of your heart. I've said all of this to you, so you can see the level of the sacrifice that you're presenting to Our Father. He has watched the preparations you have put into what you've been doing. You through this have affected the world. This is not small. This is huge for the Kingdom of God. I believe what you're doing is a sweet savor in his nostrils. I'm going to have our intercessory team pray for you. I'm telling you, you can't aim for Him and His will and miss. You are on track, know that God is with you. As you step forward your foundation will be there to support that step. You will be going back into production. Please be encouraged. You have penetrated the forces of darkness with what you've done. THE PROMISE DOES NOT COME WITHOUT A FIGHT! Blessings to you my brother.

I'm watching season one loving every bit of it! I'm watching one episode every Sunday now. You seem like a nice guy and I'm glad your working to get these shows out, keep up the good work and I know you will be guided through it even if it doesn't always feel like it. 🌞

Dallas, The Chosen has changed my life and my husbands. Praying and weeping with you. As much as we want to see many seasons of Chosen, if we only have season 1, it was so worth it. But I pray the people who gave the most for season 1 wil double and triple theat amount and new people will sow into this and with Yahs help, His will , will be done!!

I love seeing this in retrospect today (more than four months later than when this video was made) how the Lord opened a way for the filming of The Chosen to continue! It's all coming together and it's all working out! God is so good! Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing your heart with us! It's so awesome to see the kind of faith that is willing to step into the unknown with full trust in God!

I am currently reading John Piper's, "Don't Waste your Life" and just in the last hour read this, "Therefore risk is woven into the fabric of our finite lives. We cannot avoid risk even if we want to." Piper goes on to encourage us with stories from the bible of those who, not knowing what the outcome would be, put their faith in God, made the best decision they could with the revelation they had, and took a risk for God saying, "May the Lord do what seems good to Him," and "If I perish, I perish." We cannot know the outcome but we can trust Him who does. Bless you brother as your faith leads you into risk for the glory of God.
