If a person is not prosecuted, and found guilty they are innocent and this will now be enshired in banking regulation. If any breach it, they will face similar pressure as the Natwest & Coutts CEOs and rightly so.

I just love how Coutts include Russian state involvement with Farage in their report (they confirmed no links for any anti Farage activist reading here) but when the King (then Prince), had his aides insert £5M CASH (carried in a suitcase from a Saudi dodgy feck), not a single question was even raised by them! I have worked in financial service sector for over 30 years, in regulatory and compliance as it happens - here are my thoughts: - Well the core principles of banking are TRUST, FAIRNESS & CONFIDENTIALITY and these are totally enshrined within the UKs banking regulation frameworks with even stakeholders having to abide by the same. So, Coutts and Natwest have blatantly failed on all 3 core points and the financial markets were absolutely stunned when the Natwest board claimed they had "full confidence" in their CEO after breaching those 3 core principles, hence the then later 1am board meeting. ** So whilst the original reason for Coutts to close the account is not currently picked up on by regulation directly (an argument of accurate and relevant information held could be argued on this point in my opinion), their transgressions of the core principles will already cost them heavily in penalty fines and if Farage takes to the court arena he will be heavily compensated (well, unless he gets one of those judges who wear a spider broach)! Going forward, I do believe things will be quickly tweaked to ensure perfectly legal political views cannot be held against a person when considering banking facilities, however, even if slow - anyone with an interest in this already now knows to issue a subject access request notice, to see the reasons for closure or decline - they can then take that to the regulators. Whilst always the fear of shredding evidence, data protection requests are usually handled by much lower staff so things do get sent that incriminate the bank (I once caught Nationwide calling a mortgage borrower a "chancer" and had his £300,000 mortgage balance written off without even needing to sign a non disclosure). One final point that nobody has mentioned in the media yet - Farages Coutts account was a business account, yet all banks approached declined, and Natwest only offered him a personal account. Farage needs another business account to enable him to transfer the funds from the Coutts account - if he transfers to a personal bank account it will be deemed by the Treasury to be personal income drawn from the business and full UK tax will be applied at the prevailing rate (probably 45% of the amount, whereas in a business, corporation tax is far lower) - so when your Emily Maitless's claim they offered him an account in her shitty podcast -as her husband is a trader, she knows she is being disingenuous (as always). Incidentally there is absolutely nothing wrong with this method, it is perfectly legal and allows someone to mitigate tax by retaining profits in the business if they don't need to draw out as income. **Incidentally, the CEO's actions were without doubt gross misconduct and thus enabled the board to instantly dismiss her without severance, but they didn't and I hope someone somewhere high up is going to ask them that question (i.e. were the board aware of her disclosing at the time or encouraging her to do it also).

@@mrrt2317 Actually, if you made the effort to read the reports and Monzo's reply instead of just jumping the gun, you would have noted that THEY DO NOT PERMIT POLITICIAL BANK ACCOUNTS, and Gina Millar when she opened the account late last year, DID NOT DECLARE the account was for a political group, ergo the account is void. I.e. your post to defend the critique of woke brigade in response, is flawed and completely wrong.

Sorry that's not true. The co-ordinatedf campaign you claim with all banks is simply due to him being a politically exposed person (PEP). Behind the scenes PEPs are a pain in the arse nightmare and need regular monitoring far beyond any normal bank account, for no more reward than someone who is not PEP. Many politicians face similar, even Andrea Jenkins admitted on GB News last night she was declined recently. The politicians created laws that now bite themselves, far too overreaching in their efforts to reduce risk of money launder (whilst Coutts doesn't even ask a question of the then PRINCE of Wales aides bringing a suitcase into their office with £5m cash within to deposit). I've seen it countless times, sons and daughters of MPs and Policy think tank group members getting declined for the exact same reason. PEP - they need to change the rules.

I can tell you that since ESG was introduced, all banks and investment companies are pressured to achieve a good ESG score to be allowed to trade. This includes only dealing with firms and individuals who meet the requirements. Corporations today would rather lose value than risk being unable to trade. It is a conspiracy by the WEF, the UN, the EU, and Larry Fink of Blackrock to force change. Those are Finks actual words, and he is in control of over $14 trillion (yes trillion) of investments and exerts global power over even governments. Do your research and you will realise it is all connected to the same people. CBDC will be used to control all people via banks and corporations.

Also If ANYONE did this they were ENTITLED to take preventative action as the NatWest had already closed down Nigel's account and started the scenario.
