They are a shining example of how to create a highly developing, highly functioning country through use of their systems and formulas, created and used for hundreds of years. Also, something many people are not aware of is that the Queen is not only the Head of the commonwealth, buy she is actually also the Queen of Australia, of New Zealand and 13 other countries. She has a representative at each of these 15 countries (called Common wealth realms) and the representatives she sends to these countries, oversee and advise the governments, just like in the UK. Also these representatives are the commanders and chiefs of the countries Navy's... this is why they are called Royal navy's, such as the Australian royal navy. The role of the commander and chief is to controll what they command, for example, the president of the USA is the commander and chief of US defence.. he pushes the big red button if need be. So you see, the Royal family and the Queen are not just people that are celebs.. they are peacekeepers, they are facilitators, they are advisers, they are intelligence gatherers, they are champions of modern day civilization and society, of democracy and Christianity. They are symbols of the freedom, of diversity. They are an example of how to rule and a help in hand to countries that need it. The Royal family unifies the common wealth nations, of which there are 54 voluntary nations and they play a humungous role in the world. The goal of the commonwealth is "democracy, prosperity and peace" To compare them to a celebrity is highly offensive to not only the Royal family but to the whole world and its leaders for holding the British Royal family in such high regard. I'm American but I feel like the Queen deserves more respect tbh. She is the only world leader to be in WW2, she has been groomed since birth to do her "duty" and she is one of the only leaders who is respected globally. The women has never been in bad publicity, has been present for the people forever and does do her part to help her country and the West. It’s history and British institution. People do not understand how it works. The tourism brings in £500 million. We don’t pay for them. The monarchy donate their duchy to the government to pay for the government, they formed. They then receive back 25 % of their own revenue as salary for the thousands of engagements they carry out each year. Without it the UK would be but a tiny island. The Queen is still working at 96 but I guess the younger generation don’t understand that sense of duty.
