this is my first time watching a video by them AND I WAS SO SHOCKED WHEN SHE CAME OUT PREGNANT! like sis trusted her dance group to catch her WHILE PREGNANT

it's actually insane how intricate the choreography is, how every single movement is so important and adds something to the story. i can't imagine the hours they put into creating this piece, and how much it must've meant to every person on that stage to be a part of something so special! the choreography combined to tell the story absolutely left me speechless and so moved, this is pure art.

dude this actually made me cry. it struck a real chord and showed the everyday battle within yourself when suffering from mental illness. thank you for this masterpiece

as a dancer i can personally say that the accents in this piece of choreo are tremendous .. keone & mari’s musicality is phenomenal ! they have done such a good job at telling a story with no words , so overall this piece is superb

Here's my interpretation of the last bit of this piece (4:37 - 6:58) This may have been obvious to many, but regardless, here it is in words: The linked arm wave with Keone was a cool move and eye-catching, but in my eyes, it was way more than a well-executed piece of choreo. That wave symbolized what a person, particularly with mental health problems, goes through. Every move, every thought, and every action is followed by a seemingly never-ending wave of doubts and fears. It carries its weight back and forth, rippling, in a person's mind. Even as Keone tried to get away from the others, all of the voices in his own mind, they followed and attached themselves to him. Out of nowhere in the midst of being in the embrace of Mari and his child, they take him away. 5:00 - 5:50 shows me that no one is free from the voices that are in one's head. Mari is being moved around and finds herself in front of a fence surrounded by her own doubts and fears. They seem to comfort her, but in actuality, they are keeping her separated from Keone. I even see there are moments where Mari has to distance herself (4:47). You can see Mari turn her back on Keone as he's being dragged away (4:24 & 6:04). These thoughts that come from within, keep us locked in and fence others out. For the one trying to make their way in or their way out, it *will* be exhausting. It *will* feel pointless and even futile, but as Keone and Mari state in the description, "[there are] dangers of doing it on your own." @Keone and Mari, your piece speaks volumes, and I would love to know if I'm correctly hearing what you're saying. Thank you for all that you and the dance community at large are doing.

This piece really hits close to home, and I'm sure many others feel the same way. I struggle in maintaining my mental health and thought I can go through it on my own. But I soon realize that I always need someone by my side when going through all the hardships, whether it's a friend, a parent, or a guardian. Thank you Keone and Mari for yet another masterpiece and for sharing a powerful message. 🖤

This is the best thing that I've seen in the dance scene in YEARS, this is truly creativity at its finest. When Mari came out, so did the full emotion and she played her role beautifully and effortlessly. Everyone did. It was beautifully executed and almost triggered tears for me. Thank you for staying true and sharing light.

The ending really hit. Instant cold chills and lump in my throat.

I have schitzo affective bipolar disorder. Im still learning how to live with it. Due to that, my relationship just ended. There is something very healing about this performance for me. It really reflected how I felt when all my emotions change in an instant. And how it felt loving someone who accepted me and did the best that he could

I’ve seen this only three times in the past 3 months and every time I BALL MY EYES OUT. This is amazing guys. You manage to convey such a presence, I’m floored. AGAIN.

I cried in front to my son watching this. He said “mommy he really loves her?” I said “son that’s his wife.” 🤞🏾loooove Mari and Keone ❤️

I’m crying, why am I crying?😭

This is the first time I've seen a pregnant dancer perform onstage. It brought tears to my eyes. Mari, you are amazing :) The group is always on point. The expressions beautiful. The choreo mindblowing. Just exquisite!

Love this couple so much . Mari represents how much power women can really have! Some people let motherhood detour their dreams, but this video shows anything is possible.

Before reading, I highly suggest that you rewatch this dance a second time and try to uncover the story and symbolism hidden in this piece. Everyone sees a dance differently, but there is generally a common consensus. Rewatching this a second time and realizing the symbolism behind this dance had me in tears. In my point of view, the group of people shouting "HAPPY, MAD, and SAD," are Keone's emotions and feelings. They control how he feels and acts and this can be seen through all the interactions in the first half of the dance. When Mari comes out, she notices him lost in his emotions and tries to rescue him. Not giving up, his emotions still hold on to him as he desperately tries to escape from their control. Mari is seen doing more and more dangerous moves, even reaching out to him during a cautious point in her life where one fall could mean the end as seen at 5:17. Eventually, she finally pulls him out from his past toxic emotions and feelings to start a new beginning. In the end, she helps him find his new identity, the real Keone. This is my personal interpretation of the piece after rewatching a second time. It connects to the first quote of the video by illustrating that, finding who you really are can be extremely difficult, and having someone there alongside you, through all the troubles, can change a person's life.

I watched this like 30times and got even a deeper meaning than before. This has to be the dopest and deepest and touching choreography I have ever seen in my life. Thank you

This didn't hit close to home for me. It hit home right into my face. As someone with bipolar and a personality disorder, living according to all the secondary voices telling me how to feel is exhausting. It's hard and it hurts. It's always been difficult to describe. But watching this, it's like, "This, this here, this is my life. This how it feels inside. I can't put it into words, but they put it into dance." I somehow feel so understood whenever I watch this. When I feel happy and sad, I'm neurotic. When I'm happy and mad, I'm vindictive. When I'm mad and sad, I'm paranoid. And when Mari joins, I realize that it is possible that one day, I might be able to have a family. I might find someone to love my ever-changing identity and my mental illnesses.... Its so beautiful and to me it portrays how if we are brave and choose to love another strong enough, they can not only give us the motivation to overcome unfavorable aspects of our identity, but even be the ones to stop them themselves.
