Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by Kyle Rittenhouse to tell his story and answer the tough questions from Piers after being acquitted from his homicide charges in court after claiming he was acting in self defence at the Wisconsin Black Lives Matter protests.
Piers asks Kyle whether he regrets going to the protests with an AR-15. Kyle replies that in hindsight, he wouldn't go but it doesn't change the fact he felt forced to use his rifle to defend himself.

I’m actually shocked Piers posted this clip. What an absolute disgrace he was treating someone who HAD to either defend himself or die (and probably worse before he died considered the rap sheet of one of his attackers) like this. Kyle was put in an impossible, terrifying situation and had the discipline to ONLY pull the trigger on people who posed a literal deadly and imminent threat. There are trained and seasoned soldiers who don’t have this type of accuracy and discipline.

The mob was terrifying to watch. I can only assume Piers didn't bother to watch that scene unfold and put himself in Kyle's shoes. Now we refer to everyone 17 and under as a "child" as though there's no difference between literal children, adolescents and late adolescents. When Israel arrests and imprisons violent Hamas terrorists who are 15 years old, they protest on the show about them "imprisoning children". The Vikings started raiding at the age of 15. Throughout all of human history until very lately people in their late teens were considered "young adults". Most places in the world outside western-European culture still consider them the same. Controversial because we went to guard property illegally. *Headline: Kyle Rittenhouse, American Vigilante* *From Georgetown Law* *Fact Sheet: Unlawful Militias in Wisconsin* "_How do I know if a group of armed people is an unauthorized private militia?_ _Groups of armed individuals that engage in paramilitary activity or law enforcement functions without being called forth by a governor or the federal government and without reporting to any government authority are acting as unauthorized private militias. They sometimes train together and respond to events using firearms and other paramilitary techniques, such as staking out tactical positions and operating in military-style formations. They often purport to have authority to engage in military and law enforcement functions such as protecting property and engaging in crowd control._ _These groups often engage in behaviors that show their intent to act as a private militia, such as wearing military- style uniforms, tactical gear, or identifying insignia; wielding firearms or other weapons; and operating within a coordinated command structure. Other factors-such as statements by leaders or members’ efforts to direct the actions of others-also may suggest that a group is acting as a private militia. Groups of armed individuals may engage in unauthorized militia activity even if they do not consider themselves to be “members” of a paramilitary organization_ _Does the Second Amendment protect private militias? Stat. § 946.69. The law also prohibits any person from “exercis[ing] any function of a public officer, knowing that he or she has not qualified so to act or that his or her right so to act has ceased.” Id._ *Headline: 'That's the shooter': Witnesses describe the night Kyle Rittenhouse opened fire in Kenosha* Yes people were pointing out Rittenhouse and yelling that he was the shooter. "That's the shooter!" Realistically that's informing others to take cover, to run, to hide, to avoid Rittenhouse. And that's what people did, in the video you can see them running away. People were frightened. Rittenhouse defenders call the protesters a mob but Rittenhouse's friends thought Rittenhouse was the mob. In the article it says that Jeremiah, a protester who had been trying to get to his car saw Rittenhouse start running, Jeremiah said of Rittenhouse, _"He knew he messed up," Jeremiah said. "He panicked. Even his people knew what he did was wrong. They were all shouting at him, 'What are you doing? What are you doing?' I saw it in their faces. I saw it in their body language."_ The article says, _"Jeremiah had received a text from a friend saying a bunch of protesters had their tires slashed. He wanted to get to his car before vandals did. He decided the quickest path was to cut through a parking lot. As he made his way toward it, Jeremiah saw more armed white men. Two crouched on the roof of a building, sniper style. Two or three others stood guard over the lot. One of them, a babyface with a backward ball cap, raised an assault rifle and pointed it at him. Jeremiah, 24 and Black, was more annoyed than afraid. He'd been out protesting all summer, more than 90 days so far. He knew about these guys and their scare tactics, and he refused to be intimidated. When the kid started yelling, Jeremiah shouted back: "I'm trying to get out of here. If you're gonna shoot me, just shoot!" A few minutes later, Jeremiah saw the same guy pointing his weapon at someone else. This time, Kyle Rittenhouse fired."

@kevreeduk222
@kevreeduk222 6 месяцев назад
To be fair to Piers (dear God, what am I saying?!?), this is largely a matter of semantics. It was against the law locally for Kyle to purchase or own the firearm (hence why his friend bought it, and his friend's father stored it, with the intention that ownership would be transferred upon Kyle reaching the necessary age to do so). There was, however, a carve-out in the law that permits older minors to carry rifles or shotguns with a barrel length of 16" or longer. I would guess that the spirit of that law was to allow such minors to get into hunting at an earlier age, but the letter of the law wasn't specifically written to limit such permission to carry to only be for the purposes of hunting. In other words, they were both right. Piers was right that Kyle couldn't legally have (own) the rifle, while Kyle was right that he COULD legally have (carry) it.
@dylanwarwick4429
@dylanwarwick4429 6 месяцев назад
@@kevreeduk222If I may, the spirit of the law was specifically written so that handguns that were used in street violence were restricted from minors but that minors were allowed to carry ordinary rifles. They didn't make the exception to older minors carrying firearms from a broad restriction on firearm carrying (itself a 2A violation but not arguing that point now), but rather the exception was to narrow the scope of the original statue under which Kyle was charged and ultimately dropped because ADA Binger and Kraus can't actually read very well (They were really poor at their task, or good depending how you see it). I'm just very disappointed Piers can't understand how a comma works, bringing up 2A in that manner. He needs to return to 8th grade and learn grammar rules and I wish I was joking.
@kevreeduk222
@kevreeduk222 6 месяцев назад
@@dylanwarwick4429 Thanks for the clarification. In fairness, my assumptions were based on conversations within several of the livestreams around the time of the trial, rather than on the basis of any personal legal research. Yup, Binger and Krauss were... how do I put this diplomatically... entertaining? As for Piers, I don't think it's a misunderstanding of grammar, but more an exercise in deliberate misinterpretation. He made reference to having learned his lesson and no longer wading into the 2A debate, then basically ridiculed 2A!Disingenuous doesn't do it justice!
