If Jake Paul wants his fights sanctioned as professional fights, it's time he starts fighting professionals. And not Timmy Fumbles. A guy who can draw an audience that large that early in his career, needs to be in with the big names if he's in it for the money and fame. He's clearly not trying to work his way up the rankings and one day get a title shot, so there's no need to take his career cautiously. So he needs to be put in with a big name who isn't 70 years old
I'm disgusted this fight is going ahead, and isn't even an exhibition fight with protective gear. There's a video of Jake Paul having a brain scan, and he already has significant brain damage...and Mike still has heavyweight punching power, even if he has lost some of his speed. Tyson himself sometimes sounds as though he has CTE. Whether that's just the cannabis habit is hard to say, but his age alone means his punch resistance will be diminished. Everything about this fight is a terrible idea. Well done for so aggressively calling out Jake Paul. Like all bullies, the man is a coward.
@@Tomsm8 There's no conflict between respecting the right of two men to make their own grown-up decisions, and thinking both men have made a reckless decision that could cost them dearly. If Mike wants a shot at a swan dance at nearly 60 years old, I wouldn't try to stop him, not even if I was his closest friend. It's his choice.

But this is a 58 year old Mike whose been inactive for almost 3 decades, smokes and does shrooms all day, and who has severe neck and back issues. You don't realize you are giving Jake credit by not being realistic about Mike's age here if he knocks him out. You all act like he's fighting prime Tyson. No one is asking about Mike's punch resistance which degrades rapidly with age. Look at 58 year old Holyfield.

Spot on Carl, boxing of late has been allowed to be promoted and steered in the wrong direction. Can we not appreciated and remember the heroes of boxing, instead of trying to tarnish and embarrass their legacies and achievements. Coming from an MMA fan who enjoys boxing as well I have to admit I had Carl wrong I thought he’d been dismissive of UFC fighters before but it’s nice to see that you’ve taken an interest in the UFC of late! That’s what the wider combat sports community needs, less dismissing of one or the other and more acknowledgement that they are different but both sets of fans can love each of them! Would be great to hear your perspective on big MMA fights as well as the usual brilliant boxing analysis!
Luke, Froch doesn't have any real interest in MMA. By his own admission in this video he recognises the popularity of the sport so it's in his financial interest to bring MMA on board. I've followed MMA/UFC since it's inception so to speak so I too will be looking forward too Froch's analysis of whichever fight he choose's to commentate on because I already know what it's going to sound like...... Uneducated diabolical nonsense.

It's refreshing when everyone else is saying how brave Jake is for fighting Mike and how Mike is going to kill him in 10 seconds. Everyone is ignoring Mike Tyson's 20 year inactivity, that he'll be nearly 60, smokes and does shrooms all day, and has major neck and back problems. When I question them on this, they just say "he's Mike Tyson he could beat anyone even if he was 100"
I've never boxed but Tyson was always a hero of our generation. Watching him train recently, I don't think he's just got the power from the old days. I think he's still got that body alignment, structure and rootedness. And accuracy. Absolutely razor sharp accuracy.
The fact that all the "promo" footage we are seeing of Mike showing he still has it is from 4 or 5 years ago - way before his more recent footage of him showing up at airports in a wheelchair.

The problem is your punch resistance also degrades significantly with age. Jake's not great, but he's roided up and been actively training for 5 years and spending millions on training... meanwhile Mike hasn't been active for about as long as Jake has been alive, smokes and does shrooms every day, and has severe neck and back injuries. Yet it seems like most people deluded themselves into thinking Mike is going to destroy him in 10 seconds, which unfortunately, is giving credit to Jake when he does knock Mike out.

Actually Carl, Jon has just had to go on blood pressure meds so he’ll probably just have a drink until everything gets sorted out. I take my lad football training on Thursdays and he plays on Saturdays so it’ll have to be a night other than those. Oh and my daughter ice-skates on Sundays so that rules that out as well. I’m a big fan Carl but if you make me pick between you and my kids, you’ll be very disappointed I’m afraid mate.
Thanks Carl I had a few mma fights when I was younger.I got sepsis just over a year ago and lost my legs below knee and my fingers and thumbs.I spent a year in hospital and at the moment I’m stuck on the sofa.Ive been listening to all your stuff on you tube and you have cheered me up loads.Im a huge fan of boxing and I enjoyed watching your career you were a fantastic boxer but more than that you were a great FIGHTER.I agree with everything you were saying on this video Mike is a true icon.I think you would do really well in MMA.Anyway I better reign it in before I get called a brown noser,thanks again Carl.
Yes Carl would defineteley like to hear your view on UFC 300. I love boxing, but been following the UFC since 2015. It's insane and has got a great back catalogue of fights and champions. I think you will love it 👍
