I pitched Kanye’s beat tape to No ID and Dug Infinite in 1992 and argued with No ID cause he wasn’t feeling Kanye at all. Donda West was his college professor and was trying to get her son on with them cause Common’s 1st album was already out but they were basically ignoring her. BOTH Kanye and No ID tell a different story in interviews today because they are “geniuses” who magically found each other, leaving out the ‘unknown’ rapper who went out of his way to help out his younger brother’s friend that nobody really cared about before that. Dug and No ID had a place in the music business via Common and out of all the other producers I knew, I knew that they would be a good fit for Kanye. Without that small factor, I wonder if he would he have had the same results in his success? Dug Infinite is the only one who will tell it like it actually took place. I don’t want anything from them except to not be written out of history.

The aftermath album was well before em fam. Dre was an artist King tee album never came out on aftermath Dre was also on ras kass single also. They didnt have to force dre to put it out. He was wanting to put himself back on the map.

It depends if you’re an employee or a contractor. True he could’ve gave credit but he didn’t have to. If you got a weekly paycheck regardless of what you did that week “employee” now you probably have a company and work through that company so you have to get credit. Learn the game before you play it
