Because the leftists who make the games these days honestly believe it's a bad guy song. They absolutely despise everything in the lyrics and think it's what "Nazis" believe. Completely unironically. They're so tone deaf insulated in their little enclaves on the east and west coasts, I'm sure they were totally shocked when people started to identify with this song. They're that out of touch.
I mean, those "Bad guys" correctly predicted the apocalypse and do not open fire first until the main characters make them so, who's the real bad guys?
@@R2D6_10 Lol they knew they fucked up the last time so they probably were extra careful to make it as unambiguous as possible. It's probably just like a Che Guevara simulator where you go around doing power to the people fists at everyone. Have they changed Hurk to a woman of color in a wheelchair yet? Going around calling people "Latinx" and shit.. News flash, game devs.. I live in a neighborhood that's majority Mexican at the moment.. Every single person I've talked to hates the Latinx bullshit.
Good for you! It’s the best book you’ll ever read. Try reading the book of John (the fourth book in the New Testament). Try the Bible Gateway app and choose either the NIV or NLT version. They are the easiest to understand. God bless you Terry!
@@lapboard340 Thank you too. I was surprised to have him play it for me. None of us kids grew up with much faith, but a few years ago when I was having trouble and trying to find my path I gave him a small pocket bible. Back then he called himself an atheist. Having him play this for me really gave me a lot of hope. He is so passionate in his faith now. His name is Gunar. Your cover is tremendous.
God Bless the American Dream and our great nation and people. Keep your rifle by your side and preserve the rights of our people and the rights given to us by God.
Although I don't know if anybody is going to read this but I'm a 16 y/o boy from Pennsylvania. For a year or so I really embraced the gospel and felt better as a christian, that was when I was 14-15. Fast forward and I'm now serving out on a 10 Day Out of School Suspension for possession of Alcohol on School Property. I've been wanting it in my heart to try and follow the gospel and get back with the Lord. I fully believe in him and trust in him. Anytime I listen to gospel music like ill fly away or Amazing Grace, I get a slight hurt in my heart because I don't feel like I'm deserving of listing to such music or even praising his name. When I was a younger man, my step-dad taught me that sorry means it wont happen again and I was always told that asking forgiveness is like saying your sorry but my issue is is that I cant guarantee that I wont sin again or that I wont fall off again. What really got me to believe in God was when I had gone to church one Sunday and both what we talked about in Sunday School and what we talked about in the Sermon could apply to what had happened to me that week directly. This last Sunday, in Sunday School, we talked about things that us teens could fall into like sexual impurity, stealing, and alcohol. It really hit home for me and I think its got me on the right path. Sometimes when I found myself truly praising God I got this little voice in the back of my head saying "Its all for show, you don't really mean that" and I don't know how to make it go away. I always tell others "How great is my god that he forgave a wretch like me" but I cant seem to ask for that forgiveness myself. But truly how great is my God, how great is he.
I am a follower of Jesus. I am a Christian. Yet, I still sin from time to time. All Christians do. The apostle Paul wrote about his sin. The wonderful thing about being a follower of Jesus is that he will forgive you if you ask him. This has nothing to do with being deserving. Ask Him to forgive you and ask the Holy Spirit (who already lives in you) to remind you before the next time you are tempted. All followers of Jesus go through this. It’s called sanctification and it continues until we die. Check out the “Got Questions” app. They explain it a lot better than I can. God bless you for continuing your search. I’m praying for you. Becoming a follower of Jesus is the best thing you could ever do.
I’m a teenage Pennsylvanian too who has been through hardships relating to school and have gone to God. But please remember, if God can forgive you, you can and should too. We all have fallen short of God’s word, you and I are no different. God is a loving being and you should ask for forgiveness, you’ve admitted yourself of your wrongdoings. I understand that you may feel as if you don’t deserve forgiveness, but that just shows you truly feel bad about what you have done. Jesus loves you and so do I as your brother in Christ. God Bless!
It's something hard to do. But the most immediate thing you can do is change your habits. By that I mean reading the Bible daily. Start with Matthew. Read a little bit each day until you read the whole thing. Then read it again. Then move to Mark. Can you dedicate 20 minutes a day? Think of it like an exercise. You can never reach your goals without dedication and daily dedication. That's creating a good habit. That's hard to do. Bad habits are easy and abundant. Even if you find yourself sinning read your Bible. 20 minutes a day. Good habits. Good luck!
No matter how hard it is or how distant He feels, you’re not alone. Faith is hard, but part of it means learning to feel safe in His presence, even when you may not necessarily feel it. He IS there. I’m praying for you. The fact that you care is good evidence of your penitent heart. God bless!
Thank you for your kind comment Gamer! I’m not a “religious” man either but I am a follower of Jesus. There are some differences between the two. May I direct you to the “Got Questions” app? At the top , you’ll find references to the two most important things you should consider. You will also notice that they are not “religious” but are only concerned with following Jesus. Did you know that the word “religion” is only mentioned once in the New Testament? It is used in reference to caring for orphans and widows. I’m glad to hear that you are reading the Bible. Try reading the book of John. It is the fourth one in the New Testament. May God bless you too!
Man, I was just looking for some good covers of this song, but this is more than perfect. That Bible reading was exactly what I needed right now, thanks brother!
Great cover! Very unique. God bless you and all of our dear friends and allies in the USA and Canada! Keep up the great work, sir! Sending love and prayers from Scotland!
@@GabrielUngacta It depends if you want to get one legally or ilegally. Legally, you have to first have a mexican military service card and then you can go to a military gun shop where you can buy pistols, sports shutguns, hunting shotguns and hunting rifles.
A good song but a better follow up message from Ephesians. I have found the song catchy and the music is what got me to ever try the game at all. The game has some rough parts in it but the music is still good. I like how he presented it here today and followed it up with truth about how instead of a physical battle, those who love God are in the middle of a spiritual battle!
Love your analysis! Spiritual warfare is what we are enduring today, and spiritual warfare leads to physical warfare. Stay safe friend! Always be prepared for chaos, wether that be war, natural disasters, food shortages, etc.
Just gained a subscriber. Love the Bible verse at the end… I needed to hear it. I’ve been going through a really hard time and the only thing that keeps me going is my mom. I’m so tired of working 50 hrs a week. I can’t wait to leave this evil world already and I’m only 21. Godbless
I enjoyed hearing an honest rendition of this song. And I also enjoyed the Bible passage. I have just recently Begun to take God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit seriously. And I enjoy hearing about the Bible.
I am argentine and I didn't give up, seeing a man sing and read the bible in english made me want to go live in the United States, I hope it will be like that one day if God decides
You should do your best to make Argentina the Christian country it should return to being. Look at Ecuador and the new president there. It's very possible!
I'm not American or even western yet I deeply adore this song and your performance is spectacular sir! It warms my heart! Blessed be good sir! And blessed be all those who stand for their rights!
@@lapboard340 I want to try to learn this piece on banjo. I'm not advanced enough yet to be able to play it based on seeing what you are doing, so do you have any suggestions on where I could go to learn it? It seems fun to play.

not a religious man myself but i always like hearing people tell the stories especially from the older generation such as yourself. I think its something honest in it like when I watched you play the song and read the bible you can see the honesty in you and hear it in your voice. Dunno just puts a smile on my face.
I listened to the music and stayed for reading. I have to say its clever because people that dont stay for the reading and watch your videos regularly will eventually stay to hear what you have to say. Great video, keep up the great work, 💯 out of 💯 👍!
I have been in US for 5 months 7 years ago and i never forget the land which looks like a paradise, i love the American culture and country songs, great performance sir !
This is brilliant. Thank you for covering this song, and posting it here. "Against principalities, against powers..." inspiring and chilling all at once. Thank you.
I really love this! Can you do “Oh the bliss” some time? In all honesty you’d do a perfect job covering the game’s whole album but I’d still love to hear just one more song if possible
Keep the rifle for the physical battles, but I heard a SEAL talk about before ever stepping foot on the battlefield, a warrior must first be right with god.
I really love that song, and I loved this version of it, too! I didn't even come in for the bible reading, but since I liked the performance a lot, I also just listened until the end of the video, since I was already there :D
There are several places in the Bible that warn against mocking what is holy. Psalm 1:1 “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers”. Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
The Father and his Peggies were a lot more Patriotic it seems than today's Liberals lol That is one of the things I absolutely love about Farcry 5. There's American flags all over and the American Patriotism runs deep. If you listen closely, a few NPCs even mention the 2nd Amendment and the importance of our right to bear arms.
Great cover of a great song, I especially liked the bible reading at the end! It was nice how you chose to include that really helped with the true meaning of the song
The beauty in this song is found in the "Yankee Doodle Effect", as another commenter put it. The song was written as an anthem for the antagonist cult featured in the game, but the real world traditional and more conservative-leaning crowd in the gaming community have made it a call to arms in the context of simply being ready to stand and die for what we believe in. Ubisoft Montreal basically tried to make the game a criticism of certain American values and mindsets within the traditionalist population, yet unexpectedly managed to make both the protagonists and antagonists views appealing to the demographic they tried to criticize. Much like the song of "Yankee Doodle" being a British slander of the colonial forces attempting to secede from the crown during the Revolutionary War of Independence, this song is now a piece praised by those it was trying to ridicule and has become quite a popular tune as a call to arms against tyranny. Your performance brings it even more-so into its own, solidifying it as a great folksong for the militia-man or modern-day Minuteman with a great bluegrass spirit bringing it together. Wonderful work on this cover and best wishes with your future performances.
Don’t know if you’re still seeing comments on this video, but your Bible reading got me to pick up my Bible for the first time in years so I could read along. Great musical talent and God bless
Thanks for your kind comment Amz! I’m glad you read the Bible passage. Keep reading! All the authors were inspired by God. It’s God’s words! You can’t go wrong being a follower of Jesus. May God bless you!
@@lapboard340 Yes sir! Always have been a believer… just lost my way over the last few years. Gonna try my best to stick at it and live by The Word. Thank you so much again!
