BTDT a few times myself. Was never a fun job, but when young didn't really matter. But now at 72 I would have to pay to have it done. One thing for sure there's No teasing a button clutch it's on or off. When it rains it pours, story of my life. Really enjoy you, 806, and mosyinmoses videos !!
Watching you makes my back hurt , but I got a lot of respect for you. You remind me of my uncle's. 3 trucks to make one. Young ppl have no clue what it takes to make a truck run.
Brother you are hard core I would never tackle that what a mess Most people have no Idea what it takes to make it in the truckin biz you got it goin on wish you all the best to you and your family Just saved thousands of dollars Gitter Done
Mate I can feel, see the anger/frustration/pain in your voice and face ! Don't let it get to you, Life is a journey full of ups and downs Hopefully its time for the ups to be comming soon Take Care Mate Best Wishes from Tasmania
That is hard to believe that Milwaukee wouldn’t do it. I use a half inch Milwaukee to take my wheels on and off truck and trailer. I torque them at 450. That was a heck of a job. Wish I could have helped you. I just changed my clutch and flywheel last year. You’re a hard working man. That is all tuff work. Most owner operators. Don’t even know how to set up a clutch. Or grease a truck. Take care. Great video as always.
Thank man! I’d took some help in the deal! Man I’d why that one bolt was so tight. I know I torqued those evenly back in 17 the last time I had it apart.
I’m thinkin you have he same luck as I do,but good to see a man that stays on it . Thanks so much for your videos keep them coming they are really enjoyed.
Gerald that’s equivalent to open heart surgery brother. Glad you caught the problem but sorry you had to go through all that but it is what it is I suppose. Hope you have a good weekend.👍👍👍
Now THAT does not look fun at all. If you want a really good Lubricant to help loosing bolts buy some Kroil, that stuff will break any bolt loose... Love the Videos and can't wait to see the next. Keep on keepin on.. 👊 💯
Great video you reminded me why I had a mechanic but I'm kind of back now I just have mild stutter now and shaking on my right arm constantly I'm glad to see you're pulling through I definitely like rough around the edges I can't remember what you said for the green truck what's another one of them stroke things have a great week my friend
Hey buddy. I’ve been so busy and finally slowed down for the comments! Man if I had a few running I’d have to have a mechanic! Diabolical is what I was thinking for the old green truck. Keep hanging in there man and stay strong!
Well driver you get to save so much no gym Fee's the 379 exercise program yeah buddy . Be proud son be proud nice job ! Had me worried on that stuck Bolt ! Grease please at least a bit 👌🍁☮
My 96 W900L is "Take it Easy," and my 79 k100 Cabover is "Long Way Home" My buddy went through the same thing. He's almost 70 and doing what you just did in his drive-way. He tells me every day to save my money and let someone else handle it because you're going to wear your body down. Hell my other buddy is in his 60s too and just did a rear end by himself. Little scrawny guy. Sure is a motivation but I like to make sure it's being done right that's why I do it all lol.
Yeah man. I’ve got one uncle that quit because of his insurance got so high and he was 85 at the time. I’ve got another uncle that runs almost everyday and still does projects just like this. I figure I’ll be the same way. I think the key is trying to inject in the tools to make the heavy things easier.
It’s all good. I had some extra time waiting on parts and did several little things that made the truck better. Little by little this truck is getting better
Repairs are costly. But there is an up side. It's fixed . You shouldn't have to worry about it for at least another 500.000 miles. Truck em up butter cup. That's my dad's saying.
@thedirtytrucker9633 lost time is just that, lost. Revenue, put in a few more hours some, some can be made up but not all. Been there. Retired now, I do not miss it at all. I have lived that dream, Now it's another chapter in life. Enjoy you sharing your experiences. Truck em up butter cup.
Back in the day i changed my front diff on a 89 pete in snow storm in nebraska in my back yard lucky i was young put diff on the ground rolled it on my chest shoved it up in the axel a let out a big yahoo😂.
Thanks Ed. Man I grew up in this and started fixing little things and got older and was able to learn how to do big things as I got older. But it’s like everything else it’s a continuous learning process
The life of an owner operator!!! Always turning wrenches been there done that!!!!! I always said what else would I do ! Fix it yourself if you want it done right
Hey check your vent tube on fuel tanks. If one is stopped up it will drain one tank and the other will be about full. Just a suggestion didn't know if that's it or not.
Yeah that was the first thing I did when I started running. I actually took the vents out and blew the vents them selves out. Idk what fixed it but new fuel lines and and new vent in the passenger tank fixed it
When somebody re Marries there x I always wonder that gallon of milk that spoiled tastes bad and when you pull it out later and it still tastes like crap. How in the world is that woman going to be any better
I don't miss the days of having to tear trucks completely apart. You sir are one of the last of a dying breed. But when you don't wanna pay shop rates you sack the fuck up and dive in. And you sir definitely dove in
Thanks man. I hate paying a shop to do something I can do. I really don’t like most peoples work either. I always say if I want it half assed I’ll get half ass it myself😂
