Hi Miles, I think you are a fantastic winemaker. I started watching your videos for two reasons. I liked your openness to modern wine making practices. I felt that was an improvement over some other channels. I really liked it when you had guests on. It was interesting to have them ask questions as completely new to brewing. I like this format better than a Scripted instructional video. I felt the guests really set you apart from other wine making channels. I know you said it was much more work. But I think it's worth it and really appreciate that

Heard! I appreciate the candor, Dale; that's the honest feedback I'm looking for.

So I think my opinion, which may or may not have value is- I think your videos are pretty good! I am on you tube for both entertainment and information. I have just recently started brewing at home. I have done 1 beer from a box, and have 2 1 gallon ciders and 1 apple strawberry wine going. Your videos are now 2 years old or more that I am watching, entertaining and informative. I plan to watch more as long as I can find value. Information is what people are after, presented in a way that is both efficient and entertaining. Tough challenge. I am only watching videos related to brewing at home, because that's what the RU-vid matrix popped you up on my list. Good luck .

Ok so I’m going to give my opinion and I do not mean to be insulting or mean but here goes.... I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for a while now (over a year). What made me subscribe to your channel was a few things, first your personality (blinks included), and also your guests! Which other channels don’t really have. They do but it’s the banter between you and your guests that make you stand out. I mean you joking with your guests be them family or friend made your channel stand out from the other channels I subscribe to....CS Brews, MMM, Doin the Most, DIY Fermentation... I get you wanting to change things up but, stick to your original style, that’s what got you going, that’s what will continue to keep you growing.

Feedback heard! I'll definitely do at least one more video with a guest before I leave, but once I'm in Oxford, all bets are off.

Last one, I promise 🙂 I know you're going to be really busy studying in Great Britain, but it would be really interesting for you to search out old timer homebrewers and to feature those folks. There's very little from the UK on mead making and homebrewing. I'm sure there's something to that Maybe "discover" local alcohols that are unique to certain regions and learn how to make them. Three or four years really isn't that long. Maybe during your degree you can do some reconnaissance and simply search out traditional and local alcohols. Then when you're done you could explore it more thoroughly

As a home brewer, I have a real hard time of looking for wine making videos 😒 Am interested in many recipes even some crazy weird ones

I LOATHE the standard RU-vidr thumbnails. 100% will not watch suggested videos that have a click-baity one-liner paired with a cringy facial expression. Please don’t do that I will cry. You already know this, but I’m all about the wooden backgrounds and string lights. It makes me feel cozy. What if you had a segment where you made an untraditional “wine”? Just a large mason jar’s worth, nothing crazy. Hello garlic / jalapeño / onion / taco / pizza wine! Lastly, there’s nothing wrong with the frequency of your blinking haha.

Feedback heard! I'll see what I can do about the background - I have an idea, but no promises! I really like the untraditional wine idea; very much down for that.

I don't want to seem too critical. I really like your work. But your new format of talking Head really feels disconnected from the process of brewing. It's something I noticed almost right away and really stands out to me. I also really like your taste in flavours. I think you make really good recipes and I like that you aren't simply going for a gimmick

I just really don't like the library background. I understand if you're unable to use your old place currently to do videos, you have to do something. But I just don't like that background. I really like your personality!!! Your awesome. I like the two part videos.

I gotcha! I'll experiment with a few things and see what I can do. A lot of people miss the cozy background!
