@@seraaaaaaMay December was announced in June 2021 with Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore attached to it so they had time to change the title before a 2022 release date. They may not have, but I can't find any proof that May December January was the title prior to June 2021.
"He's passing out from that disease that he *still has* " With the context at the beginning, it's so funny every time you point out that condition is DEFINITELY there 😂😂
I actually had a similar condition and the doctor knew about it before I was born and still sent me home with my parents without telling them. After 2 weeks my parents realized something was wrong with me (I wasn't eating was always sleeping and was always sweating) so they brought me back and the doctor was like yeah, we knew this already and my parents were like YOU knew this already why didn't you say anything?? Long story short, a NEW doctor said if they waited just one more week I would have died.
I was only listening to the video so I honestly thought that Paul died immediately right after he got his back blown by his best friend and future step-father. Happy ending indeed.
😂 From the title, I thought this was going to be about a Age Gap Relationship with the December passing away and the May learning to move on with the child they had named January
It was the "have you ever seen a gorilla give head.... I didn't know they do that" for me. When I tell you Im at work balling 😂😂😂 these customers looking at me sideways. You're funny asf 🤣
I literally just watched the My father myself video and was ABOUT to go to sleep. Then you went and uploaded something Filipino . Let me rest Kennie 😭😭
tbh the mom being totally unsurprised by their gay child then offering to help them with their dating life is the most realistic part of the story (speaking from experience)
Ehhh, this is the Philippines though, so the most likely scenario would be the mom sending the guy to conversion therapy and telling him he's going to hell if he doesn't. That's mostly how it goes in Filipino media
Hmm filipinos are a mix tbh...the concept of being gay is more ig alright(?) And easier to digest than a daughter being lesbian/gay Like i tell you i have gay relatives and yes ofc the family is sad, confused and etc full of emotions but from my experience and what i saw there isnt really like a threat ( we are religious but not the to the point we will kill cause of sin or something, our religousness os 50 -50 They are more confused and sad / disappointed but they can accept it aslong just like any other asian kid, younhave good grades/job, didnt commit some sort of crime and also like just idk community oriented stuff ( also being responsible and shit and if yoh gonna choose someone they better be up to their standard or something like that)
I feel like the whole premise of all these Philippines dramas is just to pack as much shock value as they can in one film just to get people to talk about them even if they dont make any sense lmao
Kennie, i think you need to watch Big Daddy Joe Morton's breakout role - Brother From Another Planet. He plays a mute alien being hunted by the government and his special power is fixing video games with his mind . It's so incomprehensible that my dad, an engineer, made me watch it with him at multiple Christmases to explain it to him. Sadly, this was pre-weed, so i had nothing to offer. He eventually saw imdb refer to it as a comedy, which had not occurred to either of us. You will love it. ❤
girl as Filipino thank you for taking the time watching and sharing Filipino movies to a foreign audience BUT THEESE ARE NOT WHAT THE CLAASIC FILIPINO MOVIE TYPE IS😭. growing up everyone always acknowledges the ridiculousness of it its part of the fun but if you are interested in more; some pinoy movies everyone lives and swears by: The Healing, She's dating the gangster(personal fave beware it was a wattpad story), etiquette for mistresses (idk superior title honestly)...
NGL, I thought the twist was going to be that Migoy dies instead of Pol, Migoy is an organ donor, Pol gets his heart and lives, and, therefore, Pol technically gets his dream of being inside Migoy…he just wouldn’t doesn't get to enjoy/experience it. 😱🤣
Also the title actually is related to the movie. As I only recently learned, the term May December is used to describe a large age gapped relationship, especially older woman, younger man. I think the January is because of Paul who is close in age to Miggs which is why it comes right after December
I just found out about an Italian movie that's apparently being watched abroad as well (it's on Netflix) and that all Italian youtubers agree to be the worst movie they ever watched (worse than After, and even badly made): Fabbricante di Lacrime
7 days doesn’t exactly mean 7 days, it was put into a timeline that man could understand. The Bible says “A thousand years is a day and a day a thousand years,” time is relative, so a million years could have been a single day or a second.
for a country where divorce is illegal because theyre catholic...... this kind of entertainment sure is one way to cope or whatever the fuck a point i can muster up about such info
Your hair is really cute this time too, though you said you preferred the other method to this. With those lashes and the way you have it up you're giving a very glamourous doll type energy. Very nice very fun. You look more happy recently. Love that for you.
yeah it's true, there's always at least one death in Philippine dramas. I remember watching one as a kid where iirc it's two girls, one's the main character and the other is mean and they both like this one guy. the mean girl gets eaten by crocodiles. I don't know if it happened on the penultimate episode or the final episode, but either way the wedding happens after that. I wish I remembered its name that shit was wild.
i watch bad movies and a beat for bg noise when i draw and do work and stuff when i heard "paul's ghost walks her down the aisle" i had to stop everthing tab back into youtube and rewind because i was so convinced you had to be lying . oh my god
Omg wait the title actually makes a lot of sense because a "May December romance" is a relationship with a large age gap, and since December and January are months right next to each other it's like a relationship /without/ an age gap. So each person in the movie is represented by a month in the love triangle. Also RIP Pol
paul's ghost walking his mother down the aisle to his straight 19-year-old best friend who devirginized him in a hotel room paid for and sensually decorated by his mom truly broke my spirit
😅Kennie PLEASE PLEASE 🙏 watch the Filipino Film "Etiquette for Mistresses". It's about a friend group of girls who are ALL mistresses and somehow they TEACH how to be a 'good' one. You can already tell how messyyy it is. The full movie is posted right here on youtube with english subtitles and all! I BEG OF YOU
Filipinos love ridiculous dramas and movies. Only minority love this kind of movies and drama. For that reason the real target market of this genre was foreigners like you.
About the heart defect, their are two forms of TGA I think the what their talking about is the second form Congenitally corrected transposition or L-TGA which isn’t noticed right away all the time and can have long lasting effects even after surgery. Hope that helps you Kennie and anyone else that was wondering.
Is there a way to hide the entire country of the Philippines from Tyler Perry? Because if he even gets a PIECE of these stories, we will never be rid of him 🫠
I hope he stays local and gets banished. Cancelled or whatever word means that he doesn’t make any more movies shows and gets expelled from the industry.😅
I agree with both of you, I watch her videos constantly, but My Father Myself was THE MOST EPIC KENNIIE MELTDOWN. It truly is something special. (I like to follow it with her review of Killer Bean, because her flabbergasted delight is just the best. I did watch Killer Bean thanks to her, and it was amazing.
Let me tell you, my father myself was revolutionary here in the philippines, gurl. FILMS HERE ARE CRAZY. I recommend the comedy movies here too, it's the most chaotic films ever I LOVE THEM
I feel validated in Kennie calling the Philippines a mess, Pinoy dramas are so wild and they were such a big part of my childhood cause my parents would always watch them
@@kimmirandaart9909well, yes! when i was a baby gay, i was re-enacting confrontation scenes from heavy dramas with my classmates on the school yard. we’d even go as far as slapping each other for real 😭
@@kimmirandaart9909 very late reply but yes, a lot of pinoy tv dramas air during dinner time (7-11pm). filipino households usually have their tvs set up near their dining/kitchen area, mostly catering to moms/housewives/nannies that often like to have teledramas on while preparing dinner, and kids end up usually watching along with them. thinking about it now, all that probably influenced my current desire to watch/have youtube essay/commentary videos playing while eating/working...
Re: My Father, Myself: the Philippines is the last country on earth without divorce and this is why people DOUBLE DOWN on their secret lives (speaking from experience as a kid borne out of a fucked up decades-long affair).
As someone who's been 19 for a little over a month i am very aware that i am still basically a child but can legally (in my country) drink alcohol. Ain't nothing adult about me.
The fact that the "Mom's Boyfriend/Son's Bestfriend" does end up what she asked to do... And then gets married in the end either way. AND THE MOM ACTUALLY PLANNED IT FOR HER SON OBVIOUSLY STILL OUT OF PITY DESPITE HER SON CLEARLY SAYING HE HATED IT. I swear Filipino storywriting always sends me.
