“MIND BLOWING” WAY TO PUTT 

Have to let you know Steve....I've now played 6 rounds using this tip and haven't been over 30 puts in any of them...Wish I'd known this years ago....Changed my game/confidence beyond recognition....

Those wrist movements (ulnar deviation) are also used in a single plane setup for full shorts too.

I used this systemic anatomically correct putter with my putter align correctly with my ulna and radius 🦴 today. Shot an 80 in a senior tournament today. (20 handicapper!) used the same ball all 18 holes. Thanks for this. I works! The last four weeks, I’ve 3-4 putted every hole. I was rolling my putts today because of this focus on grip and tempo!

Steve, I putt left hand low. Can this be applied to that grip too?

Unlike a typical golf grip it appears that the last three fingers of the left hand are barely encircling the grip of the club. Am I correct?

Well, crap. Just tried this on my practice putting green. 1st three 12 footers went in. So did the next seven 4 footers. We have a new putting grip ladies' & gentlemen!

Good explanation but looking around the tour there’s no “right” way to putt.

Steve you are easily one of the best at showing how to improve your golf by just doing / trying little changes and these changes you can try without wrecking your game.. May I also recommend keeping the Grip light on both hands and just let the club do the work. I recently changed to the pendulum method. I thought I was a good putter before I changed to the new method. Since the change I am nailing a lot more putts under 20 feet. And I seem to be nailing at least 1 x 30 plus footer a round as well. My lag putting is way better. With lag putting I take the pressure off by telling myself to putt for the big hole which I set within a two foot radius of the pin. This takes the tension out of your mind. Well sorry for my 2 cents of rambling and keep up the great work.

Steve, I am in my late 70s and have been trying to find out how the hands move in the golf swing for over twenty years with no luck - So, thank you for explaining what the left hand does and what the right hand does - I took this to the practice range today and was amazed at how easy it is to properly square the club face up at impact! :)

This tip makes so much sense, tried it and am without doubt striking putts better with a more confident straight stroke. “Goan yer sel big man ! “

Fantastic tip! I play to a 9 hdcp and generally consider myself a good putter but for some reason I’ve been missing too many short range putts lately (some from really short range!) I had lost confidence. Tried using your method today and never missed one from short range. None! And I was lagging them close all day long from long distance. And just like that confidence renewed! This was the cure I needed! Great video, Steve! This was much needed and it’s much appreciated! Thanks for the help.

What also helps that a lot of amateurs don't do is keeping your elbows tucked in as opposed to at your sides. What people have to watch out for is the more you stand up in your set up you'll lose that wrist angle as your they'll "straighten" out. Great tip. Well, that eliminated my unsteadiness with my putting stroke in a minute! One Q: do my arms stay sort of locked to my side or swing a little independently? Or do I just go for a comfortable stroke? Thank you. This one I love!!! (but not the only 1!)

Whoa whoa whoa.... I saw a tiny bit of knee movement in those putts. Is that me or are you saying I can move my lower body a tad when I put??? Coz I had that literally (not literally, literally) beaten out of me as a teenager (a mere 40 years ago).. And I've never been able to putt since ..😲 Please sir, can I try moving my knees on them longer putts again, sir? Gowann, pleeeeeeease 🤨

Have never seen the putting grip explained like this. I have always randomely gripped the putter. Thanks for the video. Still need to work on your English though. That dialect is not common here in Georgia. LOL.

I revisited this gem earlier today and took it with me to the practice green - it does feel a little different at first but the results speak for themselves, wow. This is fantastic, Steve, and thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Changed to this grip earlier in the year, not sure where I saw it but boy it does work. Holed far more putts but still not satisfied so going to get custom fitted for a new putter.

I change my putting grip depending on longer or short putts . Getting great results

This might be the single best instructional video you have ever made, and you have made many good ones. I have never seen anyone actually define what is a level grip with a putter. I have always tried to maintain a straight line with the putter and my forearm, but I have always tried to achieve that by placing the putter grip through different paths of my left hand, rather than aligning my left hand with my forearm first. I am playing tomorrow, and I am going to try this on the putting green first thing.

Thanks Steve..always great stuff. I must say however, that the idea of two handed putting in general does not make a ton of sense to me. Last week I shot my best round ever putting exclusively 1 handed. I know this is golf heresy, but I'm just not convinced it is the best way. Why bring big muscles into what is inherently a small muscle activity, and why add more inputs than are needed. For the most part, no one needs 2 hands to control a putter from 25 feet. We see this resistance to change in just about any technical sport from skiing to moto GP....athletes hold onto traditional techniques for decades only to drop them when they "believe" there might be a better way. In most sports these changes occur away from the cameras and judgments of others. In golf, people are constantly being watched and their every move is judged by armchair commentators....going against the trend is much harder. I don't know about you, but I've thrown thousands of darts at 1cm targets, hit ping pong balls at full speed to 2cm targets and hit racket and squash balls with speed and accuracy. None of those activities would be improved by adding an extra arm. The amount of precision someone has in their dominate hand is generally much greater than their less dominate one so why put a potential liability into the mix. Try this...try writing your name with both hands holding the pen and letting your weak hand just float, stabilize, what ever you want to call it. Try the same thing with straight arms.... Why would the putter be any different? Thanks again for your great content...you've taught me a ton over the last couple years. Cheers!
