I appreciate that Megatron was able to change after getting tortured by Unicron for an entire movie to where he finally learned sympathy to where Optimus can feel confident in believing that anyone can change.
"As even Megatron has demonstrated today, every sentient being has the capacity for change" (Might not be the direct quote, I don't fully remember). I really like this quote from Optimus because I think it really encapsulates the theme of the transformers franchise, but more specifically, the aligned continuity. It's about the mutability of the universe, it's about learning new things and using a bit of contention to find the truth of it all, so that you can reach an agreement, as in, reach the day when all are one.
For the most part, often depictions of Optimus don't want to kill Megatron, and most versions of Megatron don't really want to kill Optimus either, or they realize after achieving it that they lose their minds after Optimus not being there anymore. They're...a complicated pair.
no it didn't ruin it, it was trying to be an entirety different show that was forced to be a sequel to prime and the hopes that rid would be just as good as prime caused its downfall and don't be sad it's over be grateful that it happened at all
@@Duality2222-2 It was not jealousy. Everything is much more complicated there. Megatron did not tell the Council anything at all about his intention to become Prime. Orion suggested choosing Prime and almost immediately he was named Prime. And Megatron believed that Orion had betrayed the ideals of freedom for workers and became a puppet of the Council. And only after that he decided to take power into his own hands and over time became the cruel tyrant that everyone knows.
I love how in the show when megaton and Optimus were explaining their ideologies their hands are opposites of eachother, I feel like this shows the opposite ideas and beliefs they have as well as how Optimus was not a warrior he was basically the opposite of megatron
He does end up changing Megatron's mind near the very end of the series, just before he sacrifices himself to bring the matrix of leadership back to the Allspark. So the saying still rings true: "One shall rise, one shall fall."
"Because i now know the true meaning of oppression, and have thus lost my taste for inflicting it." In the end due to his good heart and love, the Megatron he knew was inside all along, brought to the surface by the taste of true evil. He finally found megatronus again.
I always did like how IDW comics made Megatron more sympathetic and more complex rather than a one dimensional villain. I do wish TFP explored more on Cybertronian functionist society and how it lead to the War for Cybertron. The Decepticons originally was formed to fight for equal rights only to devolve into something else The Autobots to wasn't always an army that fights for the good of all sentients but an army that exists to protect Cybertronian elites and continue the status quo
and thats why he is truly worthy of being a prime despite all the destruction all the lives he destroyed on cybertron he still wanted to bring him back to the light.
The hype for Transformers One brought me back to this fire edit! I’m so excited to finally see the fall of their brotherhood properly explored in animated form. It’s only ever been hinted at in shows and movies. But never shown
A lot of people haven't read the book about Cybertron, and how the war started, specifically in this universe, so they don't know why Optimus has so much respect for Megatron, especially because of what Megatron stood for from the beginning, but he changed over time because he felt betrayed by Optimus, so he turned evil seeing Optimus as an enemy that he must kill him self.
there's a reason why he is a prime, not bc of fights but his mind and his intentions making the world a better place, he wanted that for all cybertronians regardless the situation violence never should be the answer and in the process he lost his one and only brother, megatron a peaceful former gladiator whom is now a wanted decepticon. Optimus would have gave everything to get peace between them again.
Megatron did so many bad and terrible things betrayed even.. but Optimus still had hope that hes brother still have something good behind all this Metall and this Mask of Evil.. truly TheBest version of ll of them
What sucks for optimus is he isnt just another soldier in a war he was there for its foundation and its birth and had he made certain decisions he couldve avoided it, he and megatron are the sole reason why their species almost died they know every detail of why it happened and at that point in time optimus was the only one as he thought megatron was dead that took its tull (also nice edit)
I feel like some people forget what it means when Optimus tells others that Megatron was once his brother. Imagine finding someone who you've laughed innumerable times with, suffered with. For eons you could rely on them and look at and know everything will be alright. A soul mate in all tense and purposes other then intimately. For them to just do a complete 180. Optimus is aware of Megatron's status as his arch-nemesis and greatest threat to his people but whenever Optimus talks about Megatron like this I can't help but feel bad for him. For others Megatron is just a tyrannical dictator, but to Optimus he was more then just that. He was someone he held in probably higher regard then anyone else in his life, to only end in them being on the other side of a gun. That kind of pain would be torturous.
His* spark Man this guy is so pure he was sad for the death of his worst enemy, who killed his friends and let one of them in permanent mute, the one who would manipulate him to think his family were the bad guys💀

Brothers to the end , i wish optimus didn't die in the end , was hoping to get some interactions between optimus and megatron on gd terms , if atleast one in my life
He isn't completely dead he was reborn after returning the all spark and even if he remembered who he was megatron more than likely will never return to cybertron due to his guilty conscience of all the new people that are now on cybertron are there because he killed them all before hand and it won't be the same that and his body is riddled with dark energon
@@jacobbenear2206 ik he was reborn n had his memories and spark intact as he was saved by the primes , i love the tfp show but the robots in disguise was trash , another attempt to downplay optimus and show bumbulbee as the main protagonist
