Forbidden love between an Angel and a Demon results in the angles death. That is the rules for both sides. Since Deku was caught with Bakugou on the demon’s side of the afterlife, it was Midoryia who paid the price. The queen stated that “The angel was controlling Katsuki’s thoughts to preform such actions, therefore shall be sentenced to death at the stake!” Since angles and demons are already dead, there is no killing them. So when an angle is “killed”, their power fades and it dims the world ever so slightly, since Angles are a light to the world. His body would slowly fade away like his powers did before him, becoming nothing but a memory.
All Katsuki could do was watch his lover and best friend be killed right in front of him. He had no way to fight a whole army, plus the queen. He would do anything for Izuku, but in this moment and the day’s that followed Izuku’s execution, he would be in to much shock to do anything. He would eventually confront the queen stating that he was the one who fell for Deku first and that he would do it all over again if he could. There the queen stated that Bakugou would be next in line to be executed, the same way as Midoriya.
As Katsuki hang there on the stake, all he could think about was another life where him and Deku could actually love each other in peace and not have to worry about being an Angle or a Demon.
Then, years later. Midoryia and Bakugou would meet once again in a new life, a mortal one. They could finally have the peace they both wanted.
