Drizzle was pregnant and the Vet said she should not be ridden, H rode her anyway, and then he talks about compassion, he also bloodied a pony with his spur, he was the only rider wearing them that day, he is disgusting.

I left Britain 30 years ago, and had no idea that Peter Egan spoke out so persuasive against animal cruelty. It's lovely to see him again, anyway.

Harry and his mates are not particularly animal friendly, he allegedly shot two rare protected Hen Harriers on the Sandringham Estate when he was out shooting, he was questioned by the police, then there are the issues with him and polo ponies.

There’s a you tuber called “the moons” who live in France running a wonderful charity for horses old and retired horses, horses that would have been sold for meat, horses that have been over worked and no longer of use. It’s so sad to see. The moons do a wonderful job taking care of such horse and give them a second life before,they die of old age. I would not be surprised if the moons have saved such horse as these! So cruel to treat horses in this way.😢

My daughter used to work at a polo club as a groom. Pay was excellent, but she often complained about the fact that the horses would be utterly exhausted, foam at their mouths and that the owners/players were unfriendly and arrogant. I have seen firsthand how nervous, skittish and scared polo horses are. They are scared of humans and it was a job which my daughter had to give up for her own sanity. Instead, she now canters along the seaside whenever she has the opportunity-much healthier! Boycott Harry’s ‘documentary’!

I do have to say.....I live in the US, and a alot of retired race horses, are purchases by Mennonites . So they at least have a much calmer life after racing

Harry was warned that Drizzle was pregnant and he was offered other ponies to ride that day, he refused, he killed Drizzle. She was like all horses, willing to run herself to death because it was asked of her. This sport must stop!

Polo is not popular. Ive been riding since 1979 H/J and never have i heard any barns ,fellow equestrians ever mention polo

Polo is a sport played in many countries and different championship & tournaments are held for it. Their are rules for both players as well as ponies which are followed to maintain safety. Some players do misuse their horse and accident does happens but its not fair to generalize it as useless. There are people who love horses and keep horses and get to participate or compete in this sport because they know how to handle it.

i'm going to assume the reason this channel talks about Harry so much is because they love him. ...and miss him. Because clearly they only speak about him. they want him.

This is not factual. Whips, there are no whips, one hand on reins and one hand on the mallet. There were no spurs. The horses are specifically bred for their physicality, athleticism and endurance for their job and they are well trained and truly fit. In general they have amazing lives, just look at them and how well they are. Horses will not do anything they don’t want to, you cannot make a horse gallop. The reason there are a huge number of horses at each match is because each rider will have at least four maybe five horses and they will change at the end of each chukka. Each chukka is only 7 1/2 minutes long and there are only 6 chukkas max per match with a break at half time. But they can get changed if it’s a hard chukka. Yes it is an elitist sport, the very cost of having four/five horses for every single match would dictate the huge costs. If you compare, one 5* event horse will complete three disciplines (total of about 17 minutes) over four days. I’m not saying I like the sport but at least be honest with the detail and not just sensationalise and catastrophise everything. I mean, how many times did they show the same clip of the horse tripping up and rider falling. I lost count. That is not a normal scenario. You are saying horses shouldn’t have a task. Well do your research into the Amish community in America using a British draught horse to work their land. And they literally work the horses until they cannot stand up anymore and then send them to slaughter. There are many many rescue centres in America trying to hoover up all these animals from the kill pens/direct slaughter pipe line to offer them a peaceful caring retirement with food and meds for whether that be a day, a year - however long. Some are so lame they cannot be saved but it’s better to put them to sleep there and then to stop their pain than transport them all the way to Mexico to be slaughtered. And yes there are many racehorse retraining yards now. I have worked in a yard where polo ponies have been rehabbed and they are truly tricky. So get your facts right please.
