What is he talking about he wouldn't face any criticism in Spain because English fans wouldn't see him? He'd face criticism in Spain from Spanish fans and media, and maybe there would be MORE pressure in Real Madrid.
I live here, belive me the pressure is more over here. The best selling newspapers here are 100% dedicated to football. If he wants to leave good luck to him. The club is bigger than any player.
I don't think anybody (vvd, salah, or trent) was gonna resign before getting eyes on the new manager and see how it is. Me i'm pretty sure if Madrid want him he's going. Me if i was trent there is zero reason to sign a contract until possibly the end of the season. He get's nothing from talking now. Personally, i think he's gone. It's Madrid. it's Spain.
Pretty sure Trent's going in the Summer, It's not a good thing for legacy when you leave Liverpool in your prime without them getting a fee. you can look at Mcmananman who did the same and it's hardly even muttered that he played for Liverpool!
For me...I believe he's going to go...it doesn't make sense to me that, are star player...future captain, has a handful of months left on his contract? Jude could also be in his ear....I hope he stays but if this isn't sorted by December...then I can only see him going 😕
Trent has talked openly about his plans. He want to win trophies. If the owners are not investing enough to prove they really want to win trophies he's gone, as simple as that.
No loyalty to liverpool the club that made him a millionaire and every medal in club football. Trent wants us to sell the club to him fk off!! Off ya pop lad legacy destroyed, Bradley will develop into a top player
The only thing that’s for sure is that he will stay or he will go - but right now he’s our player and that’s all that matters. Players have choices to make and they will do what’s best for them and their families. A players tenure at a club isn’t as important as his family and his wellbeing once he quits football.
Trent’s gone mate, we should go get Frimpong. He’s a better defender anyway, faster and stronger. I love Trent but if he’s gonna leave for free he will be forgotten so quickly. Is what it is. LFC > ANY player
Depends what Trent wants. I suspect financially (especially on a free transfer) and also from a trophies perspective Madrid will be a huge pull. Probably can double his wages and also win multiple La liga & champions league trophies. I think Liverpool can compete but PL is so tough you can’t guarantee anything. Hope all three players stay. Think if VVD & salah leave it will be purely a financial thing as at their ages there not going anywhere better than Liverpool. We shall see soon enough anyway.
Look at so called fans turning on TAA already. Loyalty to a club only goes so far. Just like the clubs loyalty to players. I bet Steven Gerrard would have gone to Madrid if he could do it over. I bet Trent's had a word with him. If the club owners show ambition Or the club is sold to owners with ambition and Slot is successful, Trent stays. Fans have to wait for titles and trophies. Trent has 5 years left at the top as a Liverpool player, he can't afford afford to wait. Especially when the owners are steady Eddie's.
Trent needs to sign a new LFC contract...the home-grown 1st teamer link is essential for the club. Personally, I don't think Trent is particularly brilliant, just far too inconsistent to be bona fide world-class. Overall, a good player who's fantastic in moments!
Sniff sniff. Jesus, if he's made up his mind it is what it is. I don't want Mbappé level transfer stupidity around the club. There will be a life after Trent should he leave.
Trent don't have the personality to be captain he's a bit immature and self centered. Rather have Macalister as captain after VVD and Mo in the future.
@@normanfernee3500 Dom needs to first start showing us that he can play close to his potential. He's been disappointing and would rather have Elliot playing in his place and i see harvey owning that position in the future.... A captain needs to be a regular starter... Ibou is a big joker in the team. I don't know if the rest of the team would take him serious and give him the respect that a captain should get. Only Macca has all the qualities and the consistency to be a regular starter on merit(and not just cos he's captain).
@@hi0u91e9 Talent and ability decides your paycheck.. But that got nothing to do with captaincy. Generally it was the hard players that got the captains armband. The Vieras gerrards keanes, Zidane. Hard fighters for the team. Don't mix that up with being self centered for himself.. where he puts himself before the team. Captains are Players that demand respect and can Marshall the troops. Not sulkers when things don't go their way. He can be the highest paid player. But he don't need the armband. Give it to someone else... For me Trent mentality is too close to like a Rashford. Immature and can be influenced easily..(look how quickly Southgate got him thinking he was a midfielder) and that gave us a huge hole in the right back position for every team to exploit last season. Klopp just let him do what he wanted like a spoilt kid.. slot seams to be stamping his authority which Is a good thing.
I"m not concerned either way tbh as nobody's bigger than the club. He will have been made a huge financial offer by Liverpool so if he still wants to go, so be it. Goodbye & good luck & if he's made his mind up to go then there's nothing to be done & I won't lose any sleep over it as it changes nothing. It's still 50/50 imo but regardless of the outcome, Liverpool have been very naive in letting it get to this stage.
You don't see Madrid also cause you're in England and i'm guessing the games are not on. In my country we get everything on tv and if you search them out you can find the games online.
Michael Owen left for Madrid for a knock down price and was hated for it. Steve McMannaman went to Madrid for free but can be forgiven because Liverpool had him on trainee wages for years while he was our best player. Alonso went for a decent price to Madrid having been disrespected by Benitez and remained an Anfield hero. Be interesting to see how supporters will see Trent if he leaves on a free 🤔
@@hi0u91e9 I think he would deserve the hate as in this day and age it would be pure greed over love for a club. He has started to show bratty behavior and is very easily influenced. He doesn't have the respect or the personality that Gerrard had (Prior to Chelsea coming for him) and after.... He can become that but he's not that at the moment.. .. so if he leaves.. I see him looked at more like a Fernando Torres. That said. He has every right to do what he feels is best for him.. nobody has to agree with or like his choice. And he too would have to live with and accept how others view it.
@@themaharaniscloset No, Torres would be still be a lot more understandable than Trent. Torres went when Liverpool was at one of its worst with no sign for a hopeful future at least in next 5 years which proved to be true. Additionally, he was quickly going out of his prime due to his injury and wanted to win something, and went for one of the highest prices for its time. Also, he wasn't raised by the club nor was a local. Everything I stated is opposite for Trent. Torres' Chelsea transfer gets more hate than it deserves.
@@_sayan_roy_ I don't think any of those you mentioned can compare to this purely on economics. He will be earning enough at Liverpool and he's at team with a good young squad to challenge on all fronts for many years to come.. Both Mcmanaman and owen were earning peanuts in an average aging squad.... All that Trent can leave for is greed. If he left 2 or 3 seasons back, we would have missed him from all those assists he used to provide down the right wing with his crosses.. After last season and his wondering into midfield. We've got used to playing and winning without all those assists. He won't really be missed as much as people may think. We are fine without the Trent from last season.. Its just that we would be missing how good Trent can potentially become under Slot(as he's keeping him more on the wing for his crosses). It would be like wondering how good coutinho could have become under Klopp.
No one can begrudge a footballer wanting to play for the biggest, most glamorous club on the planet...especially the present incarnation that looks like it's primed for total Spanish & European domination.
Trent is leaving, we all need to accept it. He helped Liverpool win everything. Only love, whatever his decision. But this fixation on the topic does no good.
The people in these comments who say Trent shouldn't be captain and should leave have to be trolling 😅He's in his prime, nailed on England starter with Kyle Walker's decline and Southgate gone and he's literally born and bred in Liverpool. It is a no brainer to make him the highest paid player and the captain. He also explicitly stated he wants to be captain.
