I agree. And it's not the thong in itself. It's the fact that she is wearing a dress over the thong, and he is wearing street trousers, wich on the whole gives a distracting impression on the viewer. If they where both wearing thongs, or he was wearing flesh coloured tights and she a maillot, the flesh would not be distracting.
