“Rickenstrat” semi hollow electric guitar build 

This build was inspired by Cosmik Guitare’s “Cosmik Rick”. I didn’t film clips of the process because I didn’t think I’d put it on RU-vid, but I took photos of the process. The tremolo is a basic Hagstrom style and is made out of mild steel, cut out with an angle grinder. The body is made of ash and maple, while the neck is made out of oak. The wiring is the standard Stratocaster wiring with an extra switch which activates the bridge pickup, giving two additional blending options- neck and bridge, and all three pickups. I recorded the background music with this guitar and videoed the last minute or so using it because I didn’t have any more photos to last until the end of the song. Also, I forgot to plug it in Düring the video (to make it look a little more real) so it’s very obviously overdubbed.
