I was harassed in my own home for 3 years, had a police number numerous reports, when the time came for them to visit my home, given a date and time, they never showed up. So my question is WHAT British police, they dont exist Years before that i'd finished a night shift went to the bank on the way home from work in the morning, withdrew my rent money only to turn around to see 2 men asking me questions, being young and nervous because it was morning nobody around, i tried to avoid speaking to them, before i knew my hands were behind my back and i was frog marched to the police station which was in the town. They said that i had been following a woman, absolute bogus, never disclosed there identity, as they were in civilian clothes i'd freaked out and swore and that was the moment i was arrested. Took my prints, swabs and photo's, left in the cell for 8 hours. Ive never trusted the police since and i lost my job and suffered mentally for years because of it

The reason there has been no charge is because they have pleaded "not guilty" therefore they now have to build a case against them...unfortunately this will take time due to the publicity it has.

Im 72 years old and an ex police officer, something I'm not proud of anymore before anyone comments. I remember when hate speech legislation was introduced to this country. Even then it should have been obvious to anyone with more than two brain cells that this would become unenforceable and would lead to a two tier system of justice. Looking at the actions of this government though, that could have been the intention.
You should be proud of being a police officer, in your time the police were respected, respectful, feared by law breakers and applauded by law abiding citizens, I don’t really understand why they are now blindly following orders to protect invaders rather then protecting their fellow citizens!
Be proud that you were a police officer at the time that you were, the world was not as evil and corrupt and people had more morals and respect for others.

A Veteran Soldier was imprisoned a few days ago, after the Judge admitted he had not thrown anything, he had not damaged anything, he had not shouted any inciteful words to police or anyone else, he was simply there..... Judge said he was ordered by the Home Office to hand him a stiff custodial sentence... So your Barrister is not being correct in his assertions. Being "There" was not a criminal offense, until Labour gas-lit these riots

If as children, we tried to put blame on another, like “they made me do it”, my Mum would tell us, in no uncertain terms “and if they told you to jump off a bridge, would you”? I think the problem with the 15 year old was he pleaded guilty to violent disorder and then the charge was changed to rioting. The veteran who the Judge said hadn't been violent, thrown anything etc etc but was being a nuisance was sent to prison. Being a nuisance is a very subjective thing and I wasn't aware it was a crime and what was the nuisance ? being there? Of the 110 people arrested in London on the day after the three girls were killed in Southport 90 were not charged. They were arrested for breaching an order not to be in a particular place but as they were kettled by riot police at the time couldn't move. So you are then saying the Police can arrest you at any time and anywhere for being in the street. The order had only been made an hour before the protest started. The Police arrested people 'because I've been told to' so illegal arrests. Even the most novice officer must know because I've been told to isnt a basis for an arrest
Why are we having death threats all of a sudden? Why is the establishment allowing this to spread? Where are they coming from? Will it become law that British people must get used to them, or the British must learn to shut up and not complain about our country's demise. Allowing these threats to become normal, leads to people being scared and going silent while the group guilty of this will grow.

Hi Alex, please have this barrister back on your show and have some short questions for him to field, questions which deal with these issues in bite-sized chunks, eg I wanted to hear more from him about the arrests of people for "just being there and watching"; the committing to prison of one man who is pleading "not guilty", the case scheduled for February next year ("innocent until proven guilty!). I ask because he speaks authoratively and knowledgeably, as you would expect a barrister and part-time judge to do, unlike so many who are interviewed and only give their opinion.
