Yes. You're supposed to only work service level jobs. I'm sure you've run into racists in your profession who act like you don't belong there. You need to conform to their narrow world view.
When people say unemployment is at a record low, is that because theyre counting gig economy jobs? If so those numbers aren't accurate. Most gig workers don't make enough to live on.
Anyone who is not actively seeking employment for over six months, or isn't currently receiving "unemployment insurance" payments does not count on the tallies the US gov uses.
They are counting people who, because the cost of living is too high, are having to get multiple jobs to make ends meet. The unemployment rate will always lower if more and more people are forced into needing multiple jobs now. Employment isn’t counted per-individual

Whenever you ask a US politician a question that puts capitalism in a negative light, suddenly it's as if they no longer believe in capitalism! UK politicians are a little better, I think because the people there actually know what capitalism means and what some policy options are: at least they'll give some mushy answer about how we just need to temper capitalism with a little human solidarity (or national or racial solidarity, if they're on the right). Capitalist realism has such a hold here in the US, that any negative effect of it is a potential source of cognitive dissonance and/or gaslighting

Why do you guys like to act slow? A Black job are jobs where Black people are overwhelminly represented. So for example everyone should know who at one time were the farm labor in the United States. A “Black job” is something at entry level & a very subordinate BUT essential job, with low pay. The whole economic debate is about the wrong subject. Taxes and inflation are a distraction from the real issue. Whether our economic system should be based on capitalism or not is the REAL issue, since the way it works ends up accruing real wealth to the top. The point is that some people use the word ‘predatory’ in connection with capitalism to create the illusion that there’s a form of capitalism that isn’t inherently predatory; but in fact, capitalism doesn’t even work without the opportunity for exploitation, which is the very nature of the predator: to take advantage of, exploit or prey upon the disadvantaged, the disabled, those in need of healthcare and the financially or otherwise vulnerably handicapped. This is the reason that what the United States calls competition is rightly perceived by China as confrontation; because where there is competition, there’s always a winner and a loser and often more than one loser. Rightly or wrongly, however, it certainly is NOT, nor can it be seen as an effort at cooperation. The capitalist system depends on a growing economy (or profit expansion) to work properly, but the banking system is based on the creation of debt which gets back to the predatory nature of capitalism. It just doesn’t work for the common everyday people. It only works for those who are already wealthy.
Those with power mess with the number and Trump has none, I cannot believe how easy it is to manipulate and sway, Biden tells you, Nooo....the economy is better, and some of you LOOK OVER the fact your bank account says otherwise...but the media told you so, its not like they lie, right? lol
Which lies? The one where The Border Patrol Union fact checked Biden online mid debate when he claimed they endorsed him and they posted they would NEVER endorse him.

Maybe because their ancestors didn’t make this country rich for free. Had nothing to pass down to their children who deal with racism, police brutality and etc as a thank you. I don’t know maybe we deserve something for all the never ending misery. But I know most people are blind to this and truly believe that everything is fair now so what’s the problem. For people who can see the truth, it’s such a miracle. Thanks for having empathy. These days that’s almost non existent. Especially for us. People are ok with everyone getting restitution except for us. That’s why everyone has & that’s great for them. But people who believe that we deserve nothing, don’t worry. No one will ever do anything for us. It is always just talk. Don’t worry, we’ll play catch up forever. Well at least until God evens the score. He is a God of justice. But besides all of that I do believe that all the poor are hurting right now and we do all need something to change. It won’t happen for us but maybe if enough of others are feeling the heat someone will do something. But I doubt that it would be our current presidential candidates.

It will only matter when the rest of the world gives a no-confidence vote to America and stops buying the debt. Or they dump the dollar, causing it to free-fall like Argentina or somewhere. But because there isn't an alternative that's as stable, I don't see that happening any time soon. What the debt is, is an alternative to tax-and-spend policies that were criticized in the 1980s.
