The Tall Ships Races 2024 will see the Tall Ships fleet return to the 6 Baltic Sea ports.
The event starts in Klaipeda, Lithuania, on the 27th of June. The fleet will depart Klaipeda on the 30th of June to begin Race one, heading towards Helsinki, Finland, for the first time in over a decade. The fleet will depart Helsinki on the 7th of July for a Cruise-in-Company to the Estonian port of Tallinn, Estonia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Race Two will start in Turku on 14th July, with vessels visiting ports and inlets along the picturesque Coast, and finish at River Aura in Turku, Finland. On 21st July the fleet will head towards Mariehamn, Åland Islands, a town with a long and proud tradition of sailing in the self-governing region of Aland, or a Cruise-in-Company.
The final race of the series, on 27th July, will take the fleet south through the Baltic Sea to Szczecin, Poland, a distance of 400 nautical miles. The impact of Tall Ships has helped regenerate the city into a vibrant sailing-focused community, which will provide the perfect culmination to the series.
