Here are the awesome Five Keys again for another of their many overall national hits. After 17 excellent, soulful releases on the Aladdin label in the early 50s (including National R n ’B #1, “The Glory of Love”), the group eventually went to Capitol Records. Their 3rdth issue on Capitol, from the Spring of 1955, was this song, which rose to #13 on the national R n’ B charts. Rudy West recreates his original lead, and is backed by Maryland Pierce, Ramon Loper (who replaced Dickie Smith), Ripley Ingram, and Rudy’s brother, Bernie. As he often does, Rudy introduces the song. This song is dedicated to the memory of Mark del Costello who put on this "Burlington County" show--the greatest R n’ B Revival show ever--and other similar, excellent concerts.
