This person has XY chromosomes, internal testes and went through male puberty which in itself gives an unfair advantage. He may be intersex but his physicality is predominantly masculine. I've seen this guy not only referred to as 'she', not only referred to as a 'woman', but I've actually seen news articles where he is referred to as 'female'. Whilst I disagree with them, activists have long said pronouns refer to gender, which is fluid, so 'she' and 'woman' get a pass, but 'female' is a biological distinction, and this guy is MALE. It's impossible for him to ever be female, but the news is reporting as though he is. It's utterly insane. I want the 80's back.

I agree with you. Although I have read imane is intersex. They have a functioning uterus AND xy chromosomes. So I think this is a case of a genetic anomaly. I honestly don't know their gender. Either way they shouldn't be competing against women.
There is a document circulating on X/Twitter where one of the Olympic bodies has told the press that there are banned words such as "trans", "biological male" etc and they are supposed not to use them when reporting on the Olympics - I don't know why the media are playing along with it.
