Antonio Brown has been like this since WELL before that Burfict hit. He was like this in college. That is why he fell to the sixth round. He was like this in Pittsburgh, well before he got paid. They just covered it up. Clark and Polamalu have both basically said this is who he is. He worsened after he got paid by Pittsburgh. All of that was well before the Burfict hit.
from the time he could run....everybody told him hes great...high skool....college....you great.....he cant handle any adversity....or authority....the yes men around him gotta tell him to seek help
Exactly and he some problems in high school. He never talks about his dad who played in the CFL. His dad tried to discipline him and his mom didn't let it happen.
You have the exact wrong point of view. There is something wrong with him. This was a fairly meaningless game against the Jets. You think Tom Brady needs a number 1 seed to go win a Super Bowl?
Everyone keeps saying to get him help. I think people have been trying to help him for years. He doesn't want help and doesn't seem to believe he needs help. Until he can see that there is a problem nobody is going to be able to help him.
Not every dude that blows up does it because of some "trauma" that they have to deal with. Some people just get arrogant and start to believe they're more important than everyone else. I'm afraid this is probably Brown.
Rich I commend you but at some point AB has to be accountable for his actions well or not… NFL has to draw the line…. Everyone continues to enable this grown man … it’s not acceptable-totally embarrassment!!!
@@lordrayden3045 Can’t agree with you more. As much as you want to see someone get the help they need, it has to be up to that person to acknowledge it and do something about it. If he does, maybe he’ll get the help he needs. If he doesn’t, I fear what will happen to him. Nobody can make him do it, he needs to take that last step.
No empathy is its own thing aside from anything. It should exist at all times, like love. That doesn't mean they have to sign a person to the team. You don't wait for someone to do the right thing to care.
Guy has turned all sorts of people into wannabe doctors and psychiatrists, always making excuses they have no basis for instead of holding an adult accountable for his own actions.
IMO, AB either suffers from CTE or other mental health issues. The problem is not getting him the help, it's him willing to get the help. Just as drug and alcohol addicts refusing to admit that they have a problem. As the saying goes "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink"
It's not like alcohol addiction at all. We don't know enough about it, but we DO know that it can cause major disassociation. You're asking CTE victims to be acutely aware of their brain injury? I know you wanted to sound cool and what not, but comments like these are dangerous.
He’s tired of these man children that play a man’s game that act like their bigger than the game. It’s over in the blink of an eye, and babies like Brown are left with nothing but regret one day when he comes to his senses. If he comes to his senses
as someone who has mental health issues, I would say that AB needs to get assessed by a psychiatric team that is familiar with CTE. With a psychiatric team that is familiar with CTE, the team could rule out other/diagnose other conditions that give off the same symptoms. I hope and pray AB gets the help he needs.
Hugs, kisses, and therapy cannot help this man. And you’ve seen that money is powerless, too. He will now find his way very quickly into the emergency room, a prison, or a morgue. He is relentlessly driving himself to a horrible fate, and none of us can stop him from achieving his desire.
We have to stop making excuses for people's abusive, narcissistic behavior. People make choices, no matter what the state of their mental health, and they have to be accountable for those choices, as they reveal character.
If he was hurt, he needed to go to a trainer. Instead, he threw a fit like a spoiled child. He’s either not well or just quitter. Either way, I don’t think he’s a good person in general.
@@mischaraine1645 First off, you have to prove that he's not well. Unless he gets evaluated then I have to go by what I see. What I see is a drama king that was suited for sexually assaulting someone, almost killed a kid, has tried stiff multiple people from getting paid after rendering services, etc. Being "unwell" is one thing. However, right now, that's being used as nothing but an excuse.
@@mischaraine1645 no, my implication is that I think he, specifically, was not a good person to start with , whether or not he’s well. In no way am I saying being unwell makes someone a bad person. Thanks for trying to force that narrative, though.
It seems like accountability doesn’t exist in society anymore. There’s always a caveat in why a person acts one way. Maybe just maybe he’s not a good person. He lacks discipline and accountability for his actions. We call those people “assholes”. The man doesn’t want help so stop saying “he needs it” when he doesn’t want it.
Aaron Hernandez was a bad person, Antonio Brown simply just needs help someway somehow I don’t understand why people don’t understand that he wasn’t even like this in the beginning of his career. If you actually played football you would understand some players young and old are struggling from playing this game especially when it comes to their mental health. Not saying he’s perfect we all have our flaws but let’s not label him a bad person when he simply doesn’t want the help he needs.
@@tylerrobinson5662 AB has also committed crimes that would give you or myself a felony criminal record, if not time behind bars and it would definitely be so, if he couldn't catch a football.
@@charlie-obrien true but all those crimes came after that serious concussion he had against bengals that might have caused some damage to brain which can cause the man to have all these damn dramatic scenes. Just now that it is possible.
AB abused women. Showed abusive behavior to his children. He doesn’t get a pass. He deserves no compassion. He deserves condemnation and jail for his sexual deviance with a hired laborer in his home
It isn't binary. You can be a bad guy AND have serious mental illness making it far worse than it should be. Many people are bad guys but not crazy enough to let it all hang out. Brown is.
It's been obvious for years he isn't well, until "he" wants to get better no matter how many times people say he will not get help or get better. His career is done but I truly hope he gets the help he needs to survive.
@@KatJ3st This feels like a turning point, perhaps even THE fork in the road. Choose wrong and this is not ending well at all, choose right and maybe there's a chance he can either come back if there's still time or at the very least lead a quiet life with enough to have only a little fun but more importantly take care of himself and any family he's got
Antonio Brown needs to be done in the NFL. He's made it clear that the only thing that matters to him is him. He's had multiple chances, and he's pissed them away. It's time to cut the guy loose
TB12 engineered a "no fail" 93 yard had to have TD drive with GW TD pass at 0:15 secs...and we are spending the whole segment talking about AB..Not a single network spent even 1 min talking Bucs today..only AB...smh
Yea it didnt matter, who cares in this game? The AB situation was clearly more important than the outcome of the game. AB could have helped going into the playoffs and now the Buccs dont have him. It only marginally mattered if the Bucs won the game. Its a huge deal that they dont have him in the playoffs.
I’m tired of people like Rich Eisen and the national media giving him an out. Antonio Brown is perfectly healthy. He knew exactly what he was doing. He chose to act a fool and now he has to suffer the consequences
it's both. He needs to be held accountable but he also needs help due to CTE. Many ex-football stars have the same struggle. Some have died from CTE as young as 18. Head shots affect your brain and your mind.
I understand how concussions work because I had 3 of them when I played football. However, do not let this fool you. Not showing up to work is a PERSONAL CHOICE. Raping a woman is a PERSONAL CHOICE. Intentionally injuring yourself so that you can’t work is a PERSONAL CHOICE. Filming inside a NFL locker room is a PERSONAL CHOICE. He made all these personal choices and never been held accountable for them
Another case of the NFL as an evil entity. Everyone knows he’s not right. But they keep putting him back in a situation he clearly can’t handle. Himself and his inner circle are equally to blame.
Well said. I hope ABs situation is remembered like Jimmy Piersall in the 50s, someone who had trouble and got it together; not a guy who does harm to himself or others, like Aaron Hernandez.
Okay, stop right there. Let's not compare someone with a mental illness to a known murderer. People with mental illness are more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators. Comments like these concern me.
@@GarrettJimmy Fair point. You are absolutely right. The comparison in behavior I was drawing was to other football players, whether afflicted with CTE or not, whether they've had off-field altercations, like AB. Perhaps Junior Seau, Lawrence Phillips, or Dave Duerson would be more apt.
Sadly, I suspect his "people" don't want him to get help because they might loose their cash cow. He'll be broke in 3 years and looking to get back into the league
Ever since the Burfict hit. He was always cocky, he was always a showman, but after that hit he was different. Ask anyone in the Pittsburgh media because none of his former teammates will say anything.
Sense of superiority, inflated sense of importance, excessive need for attention/admiration/praise, lack of empathy, inability to tolerate criticism, sense of entitlement, inability to take accountability, inability to take responsibility...... The guy's an extreme narcissist, probably to the extent of NPD. Simple as that, clear as day.
Not that Bayless/Sharpes are authorities, but according to them there was an exchange between AB and Brady that had to do with him targeting Gronk. That doesn't excuse AB, but that does explain something. As far as the money was concerned, he was going to get that next week.
Something tells me he’s “Bipolar”. During one of their mania’s, an individual behaves or feels abnormally energetic, happy or irritable, and they often make impulsive decisions with little regard for the consequences. My brother-in-law told me about this because his wife is Bipolar. Thank God she can keep it under control with the correct medicine.
The problem with a mental illness is if the person with it is in denial (especially if he has an 'enabling posse' around him) it only gets worse. This may not end well.
@@ksmooth1973 Those " pharmaceutical jerks" have been helping me with my clinical depression since I was 12(I'm 66 now)I'd be dead if I didn't have the help. My son survives mixed symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar with the help of medication. You should be thanking God if none of your family or you have had to deal with this.
@@nancyselland3860 those same drugs killed my freind who was schizophrenic and I take tasigna which cost 15000 without insurance thst is insane. They are a bunch of money grabbing pricks
He is a good guy with real mental health problems. Not uncommon. Let's not make fun of him because we do not understand what he is feeling. He is an athlete who quit his job in the middle of working hours. He is not a criminal.
You're right. He was a criminal when he attacked that truck driver and tried to steal from others he had hired for pay. Oh and that sh*t with the lady trainer.......You're right, just a fantastic guy.
And nobody is going to remember him in a half decade. He's not HOF. We will see occasional highlights, but he's done now and soon he will be insignificant!
Antonio Browns family need to step up to the plate...Stop being a yes man to him if you are and please get him some help, he still deserves to live and if you don't act fast, sadly the media will be talking about him and this in past tense.
I’m glad Rich checked himself with the jokes at the end because I don’t want to hear and of these sports talk entertainers come back and apologize when or if something really bad happened to Brown. The reality is: there is a STARK difference in behavior before & after that Vontez hit he suffered. People want to downplay it. And yes, maybe that wasn’t the only catalyst, but we have a large enough sample size of behavior before and after. Praying for the man. 🙏🏽🤙🏽
It's what happens when you surround yourself with a bunch of 'Yes' people and you can screw up but still be famous because of social media. Convinced himself he is always right. Convinced himself every one else is always the problem.
Stop making excuses for him (“he needs help, something must have happened to set him off”, etc…). Some people have to hit bottom before they realize that they are their own worst enemy. I hope he lives long enough to see the error of his ways. Sorry Rich, but the person that needs to get him help is AB himself.
You're right, but some people are in denial or stubbornly refuse help. If you care for them you don't give up and try to get them help. Hopefully he accepts the help and does what he needs to do before things continue to downward spiral .
@@GameTime-yj6qv Unfortunately that’s the crux of the problem - most people won’t recognize or admit they have a problem until they hit rock bottom. For those who’ve been glorified personally and in the media, the problem is exaggerated. I wish him well, but realistically, chances aren’t good.
Well said Rich! For years my wife and I have been screaming at the TV that this poor man is obviously suffering from TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). We are relieved that a voice as revered as yours is finally publicly connecting the dots for the NFL in a manner that cannot easily be dismissed any longer.
He was all done the moment he snapped at Tommy about 'oh you feeding your boy Gronk now huh?!" and Brady got pissed and won the game - targeting ABs backup...and guess what, that kid got the yards and TD that AB would've had, that was his series. Literally jumping jacked away from 1M$...and out of the NFL once the playoffs start. No WAY they release him before then, don't even let a playoff team get a chance to add him to play the Bucs.
Same went around with DENNIS RODMAN in the NBA. Everyone knew something was off from DAY 1 with him & fast forward he's running around in DRAG QUEEN ATIRE 1 NITE THEN REBOUNDING THE NEXT. These MEN are super duper athletes whom have done nothing but train daily and some of them just wanna be their own SUPER HERO. I'm sure AB got some CTE, but he also just ALPHA and dont give a fck. I just hope he doesnt go broke or hurt anyone in public. Also, here is all the news people & youtubers talkin bout he needs help, YET ALL YOU DO IS DISS HIM instead of helpin him
AB was testing his powers . That's why he sat out..... nothing to do with a ankle injury. Him bouncing around the endzone proves that. Brown wanted to see if Bruce would bend the knee to him, since so many wrs are hurt or suck. Brown knew he could get his catch's the next game if Bruce did not beg him to play.
Unless you feel the same way and can publicly say the same things about Vontaze Burfict, you’re full of it. Maybe Rich did and does. I don’t know. But you can’t make excuses for behavior like that selectively.
Exactly Eisn just wants to be an enabler along with that jerk Brady. If a normal person did this they would be banned from society, but because he is a so called pro sports figure hes not well. Eisen you are making me sick making excuses for him.
