Where are the parents of the policewoman talking about how traumatised they've been? The perpetrators aren't the victims, I don't care how rough the coppers got, they were dealing with violent and dangerous men in a high security area, the perpetrators got what they asked for, end of! He's right, the officers have no idea of what they are going into and have to assume the worst. The young man was prone but with his hands neither visible or behind his back. Even if they had done nothing the mature and sensible thing to do would be to grit their teeth and not get heated. Nobody can refuse a search at an airport; even my daughter with profound learning difficulties gets her wheelchair searched and gets wanded when we fly domestically never mind coming from abroad.

The muslim woman that refused the search could have been carrying a bomb or something else for all we know - why refuse a search? I wouldn't be happy getting on a plane with someone who got on that refused to be searched... I would get off as I wouldnt feel safe.

We already distrust the police as we have seen their two tier policing for years now, just because they are afraid of certain communities and being called racist. Then when the police do actually do something those communities resort to violence and intimidation to get their way to make the police back down, which then means the two tier policing gets even more ingrained and the rest of society are expected to tolerate it, because otherwise we're racist and intolerant. The racists I'm afraid are the one's doing the intimidating and playing the race card, and they have been allowed to got away with playing that card and their behaviour for so long now, that the police have lost respect from both sides and have put themselves in an untenable position where they cannot police those communities our of fear, and they get the resentment from the rest of society for allowing them to get away with it. Time for the police to toughen up, stop treating these communities with kid gloves, stop allowing their bad behaviour and treat them the same as everyone else and that then makes EVERYONE equal, not us and them.

The police officer who kicked the Pakistani male was an armed officer, he was preventing the Pakistani from getting hold of his gun, if he'd got the gun the incident could have certainly escalated into a bloodbath. I used to work in Manchester airport and the security risk is always treated as high, the airport police are there to protect and have to approach every incidents with zero tolerance, especially when you assault one of their own and try to grab their weapons, whether its due to the terrorism act, drunken people, wanted criminals trying to leave the country and even just loud mouthed people disturbing the peace. When I saw this for the 1st even I thought what the hell was the officer thinking, but now with reports about what happened until the FULL VIDEO comes out we can't judge but as usual they only show what they want us to see and shout racism. What about all the times then when they were being heavy handed with all types of race in the airport because it happens, yet never recorded by the public or news because we just leave them to it because they are keeping us safe.
