Our guy Ausar Thompson (OTE alum) just got drafted 5th overall by the Pistons, and now he needs a new crib in Detroit! We went with him to a few different homes to see which one makes the most sense. There's a few things Ausar needs: high ceilings, cool stairs, and a nice bedroom for his twin brother Amen (whose episode is coming NEXT week). @@manuelr1079Most scouts and people say amen is the more skilled player but in my opinion Ausar is a more overall rounded player who has the perfect nba skillset, I wouldn’t say overall one is better than the other, I would say they each specialize in different parts of the game

I really like the twins. Caught my eye in summer league, I was completely impressed with Ausar’s all around game. For a top 10 pick, I did not expect him to be so committed to winning. It looks like Detroit hit big with this dude. My team got Wemby, but definitely my 2nd fave rookie to watch and will definitely be following his career!

Not sure why she didn’t show him Birmingham. It’s between Bloomfield & Royal Oak and it’s a 30 minute drive to downtown. You have beautiful homes and condos in Birmingham and it’s extremely safe. And a lot of Detroit area athletes already live there. Anyway, he’ll be good no matter which place he chooses. Go Pistons!

Even with new developments, Detroit is still lacking great housing options downtown compared to a city like Chicago or Houston where you can throw a rock and hit a highrise. A lot of Detroit pro athletes stay in the burbs so it must not be that bad.

That's not his fault. It's no reason the city of Detroit can't build developments with Million Dollar Homes like this downtown. I'm from there and now live in Atlanta and thats what they are doing down here all the time. Detroit on the comeback, but still has not got to the point to using the empty lots and land to build these type of developments. Maybe the next mayor will take the city to that level, without completely gentifying so that Detroit still has its authentic Detroit feel.
