“This Woman Could Be Deputy PM!” Julia Hartley-Brewer On Angela Rayner Police Investigation

Rishi Sunak has insisted Sir Keir Starmer should spend less time reading Liz Truss’s new book and instead focus on Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner’s tax advice.
Mr Sunak’s jibe led Labour leader Sir Keir to accuse the “billionaire” Prime Minister of “smearing a working-class woman” as the pair clashed in the Commons.
Ms Rayner has faced scrutiny about whether she paid the right amount of tax on the 2015 sale of her Stockport council house because of confusion over whether it was her principal residence.
The Labour MP has said she will “do the right thing and step down” if she is found to have committed a crime in relation to her living situation a decade ago but remains confident she has followed the law at all times.
TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer discusses the story with former Labour Party official Richard Power-Sayeed and former special adviser Claire Pearsall.

Difference was, Johnson leading Downing Street staff in drunken revels for two whole years, the country in chaos and gridlock, getting nothing done, because they were in a permanently inebriated state, was common knowledge to anyone for miles around, who'd heard the noise, or seen the participants crawling around on all fours, in the street, vomiting on each other. The 'investigation' was a delaying tactic by Johnson, to kick the can down the road.

Take my area, I know the green councillor who will be running and candidate to be an mp. Both are sensible about net zero, actually support nuclear power and want an investigation into homes Labour has pushed to be built, claiming they asked the residents, but it fact never did. It's damaging the Tories, not Labour. If she'd stepped down, during the fake investigation, all the Tory mischief-makers would have declared that was proof of guilt. By not stepping down, they cry that it's proof of guilt. The smear merchants are going to claim vindication, no matter what she does, so no reason to back down. Plus, it meant they were still trying to push the lie, when the Menzies story finally broke, and the public fury hit the Tories with an even greater backlash.

Also check if she was claiming attendance allowance from DLA ? She claims to have been a carer for her parents,was she getting the allowance and to what address ?? Also there is a minimum amount of hours you have to be with them to claim, it's around 40 hours ??... If she was at university how could she be doing that ?..a possible fraud there ??

Sunak tries to wriggle out of his wife's tax avoidance by saying her finances are separate from his. Yet we're told that somehow, Rayner's one and only property is treated as surplus, because her finances should be merged with her husband. Which is it? If Rayner's one and only house has to be treated as the spare house for her married joint finances, then Sunak is guilty of his wife's tax avoidance.
