Rande Howell turned everything around for me. Went from reckless "gotta win" guy to a patient consistent profit guy thanks to him. I was able to quit my job and have been doing this for 3 years now, account has steadily grown every year on top of paying all my bills. I take losses all the time, no big deal now because they are small, not giant blowups. I still watch his vids all the time to stay in the correct mindset. Highly recommended. Thanks Rande!
@@amateruss Crypto being the most volatile and the most unpredictable assets, it seems just a perfect scam for new traders. It's unpredictable because it's useless, it's almost illegal and is not forbidden only to keep the jock going.
Wow!! My goal as well...I want leave the job...the market scares me after the losses I've had..however he's right..in retrospect..if I had simply been patient..I would have done better..
There's good wins and bad wins - all contribute to SUCCESS. 1. Good win - hitting profit targets. 2. Bad win - taking profit too early. 3. Good loss - hitting stop loss. 4. Bad loss - not placing a stop loss.
This might be one of my favorite interviews! Key takeaway: The holy grail in trading is not the strategy but on how we manage our emotions when trading.
If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to build generational wealth, and cultivate financial knowledge, you must be in the market.... ✅
As soon as I seen Rande’s face in the thumbnail I clicked immediately! I’ve been watching all his 200+ videos since November last year thank you Etienne
I love this dude. I found his videos yesterday and have been hooked. I wiped away 2 weeks' worth of profit because of euphoria and it scared the hell out of me. I'm finally winning trades and now i have to worry about thinking too positive? This dude helped so much. binge-watched his youtube.
Lots of golden nuggets in this interview. In order to be consistent in this game you have to fall in live with the physiology part of trading which is 98% of the task.
"I've never met a good trader that wasn't a damn good loser!" -Rande Howell . You have to be unafraid to lose, realizing that losses are part of the process.
Losing isn’t part of the process it’s part of the game it’s inevitable theirs to much variations in the market for u to b right all the time that’s why u just have a edge which just gives u a higher probability of one thing happening over the other learn to love losses it’s the cost of doing buisness
My biggest challenge is sitting on the sidelines and getting into trades, why? because of irrational fear. My account is prove to that. Fear of losing, Rande's work has helped alot to get out of this behavior. I have realised am my worst enemy and the best victory i can ever get is victory against my own self. My emotions.
As a boy who gre up right outside of Charlotte and moved away, it was cool to see how NC has influenced his beliefs. I wouldn't have ever thought of a spiritual mind in terms of the market and trading, but having sent the last six years from the age of 18-20 being spent on shadow work and spiritual exploration. Hopefully I have some type of idea about my psychological make-up and how i can improve it to fit making money in the market! Thank you so much for having this channel and thanks to Rande for his willingness to explore and insight into the mind!
I HAVE INCURRED SO MUCH LOSSES TRADING ON MY OWN...I TRADE WELL ON DEMO BUT I THINK THE REAL MARKET IS MANIPULATED... CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR AT LEAST TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG ?
This is exactly what i've been looking for a Trading Psychology coach who has studied the traders mindset and knows the struggle traders face everyday. thank you for this very helpful content this will deffo help my with my trading psychology and self improvement journey.
So true. Sometimes the inner demons want to sabotage your success. That's how millionaire lottery winners & former NBA players lose it all & end up working @ Trader Joe's. It's difficult to believe as an outsider but if you understand the MIND you get it.
@@pearlperlitavenegas2023 Thanks for the reply. There is a Rush song called Losing It. It sums up the human condition: The dancer slows her frantic pace In pain and desperation Her aching limbs and downcast face Aglow with perspiration Stiff as wire, her lungs on fire With just the briefest pause The flooding through her memory The echoes of old applause. She limps across the floor And closes her bedroom door... The writer stare with glassy eyes Defies the empty page His beard is white, his face is lined And streaked with tears of rage Thirty years ago, how the words would flow With passion and precision But now his mind is dark and dulled By sickness and indecision And he stares out the kitchen door Where the sun will rise no more Some are born to move the world To live their fantasies But most of us just dream about The things we'd like to be Sadder still to watch it die Than never to have known it For you, the blind who once could see The bell tolls for thee The bell tolls for For you the blind who once could see The bell tolls for thee... The bell tolls for thee...
That was awesome! To me, the biggest value one can get from trading is learning how your emotional brain works, and applying the lessons learned and to other aspects of life - personal, professional etc., while pursuing your life's purpose. Great stuff!
Really great , it's so true, change is good, control the mind for the biggest change for a great life even if your not in the market, this is so true, we all struggle with thinking we are great, the reality is greatness comes from wisdom, wisdom comes from experience, humble ourselves and know that randomness is life. we are no better than anyone else. awesome video. Thanks!!

What he is saying is so true. He really has extensive knowledge. Sometimes you got to get angry to get things done. That helped me a lot at the beginning of my trading career. And especially when things became difficult. I was very determined. The beginning is always the most difficult part. Now when I look back, Im glad I pulled through.
All Explanation is good , I went through tons of videos on youtube by Rande and interacted with him on email. Read few books on trading. I though every time problem is fixed. my understanding and conclusion is this. It should help any trader. 1) Trading is simple and those who understood positive trader equation are successful. 1+4-3=2 we should aim always at positive number over 100 + trades 2) is similar to snakes and ladders we must not have big snakes in our trading system 3) our brain works on autopilot mode once you are in trade autopilot takes over. we must look at programs related to snakes in step 2. if any one have any doubt on the I will be happy to explain in detail

Insightful interview. Rande Howell does a brilliant job of meticulously explaining the psychology of the two brains working together. The anecdotes shared made the learning enjoyable to watch. If you are new to trading **A MUST WATCH FOR NEW TRADERS AND THOSE WHO NEED A MENTAL REFRESHER.!!**
Excellent interview. Mr. Howell is a knowledgeable person. This is a really interesting conversation. His short story about the UCLA Undergrads working at the prison is quiet interesting.. Good take away for me is you don't control the trade outcome.. You control when, where and for what reasons you become involved in and end participation in each trade.
Thank you to both you and your guest for that highly valuable discussion. Much about my psychology was exposed; especially when he spoke on how 'your trading account reflects mindset'.
This is exactly what I have been working on, and yet so few people have talked about it correctly. Psychology and trading coaches talk about it a bit, but successful traders don't really dive into it. They talk about setups. No setup matters if you can't trade it because your mind is not right. Thank you very much for this content. In the thousands of videos that I have watched about trading, this is one of my favorites of all time

It is really valuable what Rande says here. It touches deep what a Trader goes through very often. Really. I think in particular for newcomers are these information very useful and absolutely supportive to become a risk-aware and suddenly a profitable trader. Thanks for that! Lutz (in Afrika)
Its the same as the spiritual process balancing the mental body and the emotional body etc. Being the observer is key, and using breathe to come back into centre and being present. Thanks bro
@@laurenth7187 unfortunately you are completely incorrect. It's 95% mindset and 5% skillset. If you teach a skillset into a robot, he would do best coz he doesn't have feelings/emotions/anything that subjectifies money as money..
I’ve just started making my own Forex trades today after six months of gambling with paid signals...... this is a gold bar video , & yes I LOVE Trading)
when a kid is learning how to skateboard, one of the first things they teach him is how to crash. Put on kneepads and a helmet, then comfortably fall to the ground on your knees to minimize the scrapes and bruises.
FULL of pearls of wisdom!!!!!! Thank you for sharing. Sharing your experience and knowledge benefits the world as a whole. Please keep posting more of these informative videos. Getting to understand HOW the brain, emotions, decision making etc work is SO ESSENTIAL in trading..... Looking forward to more of your videos....
Fear is very tough to master. As a pretty old guy starting out with this stuff, I can tell you that I did not really know myself at all. Fear was driving all my investment decisions. I would even go against my own tech analysis edge Just saying my knowledge is OK, and TA is pretty good, but would take the fear trade instead. Weird. I have not mastered my fear, but ask myself, before making a trade, 'what fear is driving this decision?'. Has kept me out of trouble.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!. Yes it took about a year. 6 months to really, Realize what was happening. I haven't tried yet. About to make my first trade. Kind of scared, but I'll be okay....
Excellent interview. Pure gold. Question, how many years of profitability that the trader atleast pat themselves on back that they are consistently profitable and not just lucky.
Awesome interview. Thank you!! Just a constructive criticism, please try to speak slow and clear to keep the harmony with your guest, but really, it was a great interview, every minute worthy!! Thank you again!!
Thank you very much 🙏 Would you be able to leave a review on my Facebook page with your thoughts? facebook.com/pg/desiretotrade/reviews It would be super appreciated

Strange not knowing the specific in this "most" quated experiment on how people reacted to authorities, which was the point in the famous experiments he refer too. However I do believe in mindfulness and beliefs in edge (if no edge any psychology wont help) and probabilities is major thimgs. I advise Jared Tendlers book and workingsheets to improving and still continue doing it!
My mind is shot sometimes....I have lost so much in the past, that despite my technical knowledge and experiences, I feel very fearful at times. I admit this is a major problem.
