keep in mind, Shohei has done this in **126 games**. Every member of the 40/40 club did it in 147 games atleast (up to 163). Ohtani has just done 51/51 with over 20 less games than anybody has ever done 40/40.

When he got injured last year, I thought his best days were over, and I was frustrated with the Angels for not utilizing his talent. But to my surprise, he adapted his game and elevated it even further. I’m not sure if his arm will ever dominate the way it used to, but like Babe Ruth, his hitting might reach new heights. Plus, there’s a chance he’ll play in the outfield once he's done pitching. Even though I’m primarily a football and basketball fan, I’m Shohei’s biggest supporter because I simply appreciate greatness. Here’s to witnessing more broken sports records!

I waited all night to hear Rich's assessment. When I saw the stat line, I thought it was fake, a glitch in the Matrix. I've seen two of his grand slams in person including his walk off grand slam against the Rays this year and another last year also against the Rays while he was an Angel. I'm no expert, for sure, but there may need to be two league MVP awards and then a new category for global baseball MVP. He's got the potential to make baseball a world game in a whole new way. Right now, whether it's hype or not, he's transcending the status quo of baseball when we could all use something out of this world to discuss. God bless Shohei. And I'm not kidding for the sake of this upcoming post season.

Remember He is an injured pitcher in rehab. He achieved 51/51 just one year after his second surgey on his elbow. He turned his rehab year into the most productive one.

Ohtani has less rbis than Judge only because he is not a clean up hitter and in the position of a lead off hitter since Mookie went down. Even more reason his numbers are astronomically better than anyone else in the mlb.

At some point of his angels career everybody was wondering wut would happen if ohtani choose to focus on pitching or batting and the baseball gods decided it was worth to see it with the tommy john ..... well here we are breaking records and putting the bar soooo freaking high for the next gen with the 5050 club... i really hope next season he doesnt overdo the pitching and can find balance .... we need showtime for atleast a decade
