It's a hologram, it's an augmented reality, no it's a drone show. But WOW, I am in such awe seeing the marveling lights flying in formation and forming visual wondrous effects in the sky.... Very futuristic...but they got the map on planet earth wrong.
Well, a hologram can be made in many ways.. one of which is with drones. Other options include femtolasers, acoustic holograms, pepper's ghost, fan-displays, the use of ribbed plastic and holographic film. I currently count 7 ways to create something I would call a true hologram and 3 ways that people call holograms, but really are flat images and the illusion of perspective and drones are definitely one of the 3d ones.. . this one is not a classic hologram, I'll grant you that...
