If Israel would open all the border crossings, and if illegal settlers would stop sitting in front of aid trucks to block them from entering Gaza, Palestinians would have all the aid they need. It is Israel and the illegal settlers who are not allowing enough food into Gaza. If they did, there would be no need for pier.

Gaza is known as the worlds largest outdoor prison, if you were born there , you would fight back too . The median age in Gaza is 18 , meaning , half the people in Gaza are children . The last election was held 17 years ago so anybody under the age of 34 , probably 75% of the people , were either not even born yet or too young to vote in the last election . Out of the remaining 25% , Hamas won the election by 66% of the votes so that brings it down to about 15% of the eligible of the voters. Not everybody voted , so I would imagine that you'd be hard pressed to find that 10% of the people in Gaza actually voted for Hamas . If you look at what is going on in the West Bank , Apartheid Central , that's what happens when you don't have control and you let the IDF control your area . What kind of attitude would you have ? How would you react if you were stopped on the street and asked what religion you are ? If that happened in Canada , we'd all lose it . Please educate yourself on the situation before commenting on it.

Which was it? You can't have it both ways. When Israel became a state in 1948, they took over Palestine and forcibly evicted 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and land, and murdered 200,00 who would not leave. That is what they are afraid of happening again. Israel imposes military rule on Palestine and won't let them have any weapons to defend themselves with. And they want the aid, they just want Israel to open all 7 border crossings which will allow aid to come in much faster than one ship docking at an unnecessary port.
