“Won’t Surrender,” Donald Trump Survives Second Assassination Attempt | Firstpost America
Former US President Donald Trump survived a second assassination attempt while he was playing golf at the West Palm Beach club in Florida. Secret Service agents say they saw the muzzle of a rifle sticking out from the shrubs which was just a few hundred yards away and was pointed at Trump. The secret service agents then fired shots at the bushes prompting the suspect to flee in an SUV. Identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect was later arrested by police officers in a neighbouring county. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the attack on Trump. World leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also condemned the attack. This was the second assassination attempt on Trump who earlier survived an attack during a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.
