Same here, the folks at EMG really seem great. I threw a bottle in the water asking if they made the 57-66tw in seven string not expecting much but she told me that they had the parts to make a set and I was able to order them. They really seem to care about their individual customers
First, I have to say I had no sound problem :) Nice and very interesting video that leads me to several different questions. Hope you're gonna answer :) 1- Harley Benton is releasing new guitars with EMG hot 70 and Fat 55 with metal caps on it. Will you sell them soon ? 2- Will you make splitable versions of the super 77 / hot 70 / fat 55 soon ? 3- Could you think about releasing 18 or 24 volts battery that would have the same size as a 9v battery ? 4- I have never find a dealer in Europe selling the EMG H and HA. Is it normal ? Ok, I think that's all. Thansk for all your great pickups !
These X-Series bass pickups are fantastic!!! I’ve been using, and loving the “standard” EMGs in my basses since the mid 80’s. I recently bought a Spector Euro 6LT with P-X and J-X pickups, coupled with a BTS eq, which are the first “X” series pickups that I’ve tried. They’re incredible!!!
I love EMG active pickups! I have been playing EMGs 81 and 85 that's on my MIJ Jackson Warrior guitar for many years now. And they still sound kickass! 😎🎸🤜🤛✊💪🤘🤘🤘❤
I’ve owned 81/85, 81/sa/sa, bone breakers, and P Bass pickups. I love them all. I just ordered the super 77 for a new build I’m doing. I’m stoked for it.
I'd like to see a wiring diagram for two volume pots, no tone. one volume for each pickup. please. I absolutely love your pickups. I Have the Het Set in 3 guitars, the 57/66 set in two guitars and the classic 81/85 in my purple V. and lastly the 81/89R set in my Gary Holt esp ltd. thanks for the amazing tones!
I have 81, 85, 60, 707 in literally all my guitars and recently ordered a set of Super 77s... Can't wait to throw them in my les paul!!! EMGs simply R-U-L-E-S!!
What happened to the audio?? Came back to remind myself Robs favourite set but it’s turned into garbled music and weird under water sounds in places. Either way keep up the good work!
Have a 90S Charvel with H,S pickups with five way switch set up and a while back bought a EMG H, S pickups in red (think humbucker is a Zak wyld 85 but can't remember what the single coil set up is??? Had to order it from America as I couldn't get it in uk). I set up the pick ups with the the five way switch (and only has one volume no tone) and can't get the switch set up the way it was from original set up and cannot find any wiring diagrams for it, the switch now only selects the humbucker on the first two sections off on the middle and the last two selections on the five way switch engage the single coil now, HELP PLEASE.............
I have a Jackson 88' Limited Edition. One volume control, that's it. My question is simply this, How do I add a Tone Control w/o drilling another hole??
If y'ain't figured out another answer or bit the bullet yet, maybe try a stacked potentiometer? 2 pots on one shaft. I've only ever really seen them used for the active preamp on a bass, but I see no reason why they couldn't be wired to function as a volume and tone.
The reason why guitars with active EMG's all sound near the same. Is because the active EMG use smaller magnets compared to passive. And thus they take a smaller sample of the guitar, and then amplify that sample. And so with active pickups more of the sound comes from the internal electronics and it's EQ than from the guitar. Also, I find the different active EMG pickups all sound very similar compared to if say the pickups were passive. As I find passive pickups all sound very different from each other.
And i thought the 81-86 was the best thing happening at EMG. Boy was i wrong. Most smoking thing in EMGs lineup is yall sales lady, holy crap i want one.
