It's also possible that she took liberties with the truth on both of their parts because it made for effective/relatable comedy? Sometimes, people just aren't compatible. They don't have to divorce because one of them did something awful. Some people can split because they realize that they want different things, and it's great when they can do that before shared responsibilities like co-parenting would come into the equation.
