Police don't stop crime or reduce crime. At BEST they show up AFTER the crime and take a report. It's rare they get to a crime in progress. If they do, it may not matter (Uvalde).
This is proof there are too many police drawing paying checks for not doing their actual job. You could fire 80% of these numbskulls & crime would go down!
I just don't understand why some people just can not get it through their heads that policy does not override the law. And also why people are so against being video taped when they have cameras all over the building. It's just ridiculous. No one cares about their rights anymore. That sgt seemed so impatient and annoyed, right from the beginning, ready to enforce that “karens” feelings and uninformed information. IMO, she should have apologized to you for her misunderstanding, ignorance of her organizations own policies, inconveniencing you, public embarrassment by making it appear to any other citizens that may come within the area that you’re doing something illegal (making you look like a criminal because you have a bunch of cops questioning and surrounding you) and calling tyrants with weapons on you! The saving grace in that situation was the amazing and beautiful lady at the desk that was professional, kind, helpful, and courteous the entire time! Kudos to her!

Sergeant is such a wiseguy. They definitely don’t like running into those situations where they realize they can’t throw orders around and have them obeyed. Reality is he should have been more annoyed the cops were called because a guy was simply recording being a good normal citizen.

Silly lady in the health department. She told you you had to turn off your camera because they’re not allowed in the lobby, but they have a giant QR code on the wall. Why do they have a QR code that requires you to use your camera if cameras are not allowed? Sometimes I think these people need a couple more wrinkles on their brain.
I cringe every time I hear "it's their policy". What if that policy said no certain person of color is allowed...bet they wouldn't say it's their policy then!
So When the Sergeant said “he’s Not gonna Force them to help you BUT he’s not gonna tell you to turn off your Camera, But your Not gonna get any service from them until you Do” (according to the lady).. well to me, the Sergeant should’ve explained to the Lady. That it is Against the law to Refuse services to anyone IF THEY ARE NOT BREAKING ANY LAWS!! Just my opinion.

Marsha, please educate yourself on a landmark Supreme Court case in 1967, Katz vs United States. It determined there’s no expectation of privacy in public. Protecting privacy under HIPPA, in “on” you (not ‘on’ the photographer who is in public). Perhaps install mini blinds at your service counter, but leave the photographer alone.
When the cops say dumb shit like “they would like us here, so we’re gonna stay”, you could tell them that you’d like them to leave, since they’re taking feeling based requests.
